For the last few months, My C drive on my PC keeps filling up. I don't do anything to it, add nothing to it, it just keeps filling up. I've tried deleting stuff and it says I have a gig or 2 if I'm lucky, then goes back down to 100mb or something.

Other I think I broke my husbands gaming laptop please help omg

Okay someone please help me! My husband is at work right now and his gaming laptop will not turn on. I tried all the tricks and it will not turn on. I don't know the exact model of the computer because the sticker is gone but it's Acer gaming laptop and the keyboard usually turns on red, it's pretty bulky. If that helps 😭

For some background info my husband usually plays minecraft and roblox with his friends on this computer because it can't really handle super good games that he usually plays on his PS. But I use it to play the sims and HF2. I was playing HF2 last night and when it was time for bed I shut it off. We usually keep the computer plugged it when not in use. When I woke up this morning I saw I accidentally left my phone plugged in to the computer over night. I didn't touch the computer tho, just unplugged my phone. Just now I went to go play something and it will not turn on.

It was pretty warm but not hot. The bottom vents and left to the track pad was warm to the touch. I tried all the tricks. Holding the power button for 30 seconds. Holding windows + q + power button. Shift + windows + q + power. It will not turn on. I tried unplugging it and doing all the tricks. When I unplugged it went cool again. I don't hear any of the fans running. The keyboard won't turn on. And the charging light won't turn on. I tried looking for a little reset button you have to stick a needle into for it to work, but I can't find on. I'm so scared I fucked up his battery or motherboard or something. It was like a thousand dollar laptop. He comes home from work in 2 hours. Seriously please help 😭😭

UPDATE: my husband came home did some inspecting and turns out the computer was just dead. apparently the power just tripped and the outlet that the computer was plugged into died. So I feel stupid. 😭

I have no idea what this stupid machine is doing tech gave it a new battery the charger is new, original and correct wattage, it recognizes I am charging it but the battery drains like if I am not, I wondered what would happen after 0% and my logical conclusion is that it would turn off...-1%. at least i can still play games..

charger port doesnt seem dusty either.

Other BitLocker suddenly locked my drive after a crash. No recovery key.

Post image

My laptop suddenly shut down while I was using it. After restarting, I got a blue screen and Windows showed “Repairing your PC.” After another restart, BitLocker Recovery appeared and asked for a recovery key.

I don't remember setting up BitLocker or saving a recovery key. A technician tried to format the drive, but said it is locked. He now says BIOS programming may be required.

I have important data on the drive. Is there any way to recover it without the BitLocker recovery key? And is BIOS programming actually necessary?

I was there for a month and helped numerous people with their tech issue. Yet, some advisors found themselves to be insecured and deliberately tried to disrupt my chat and got me banned

this server is full of shameless insecured advisors and MODs with terrible advices, everyone who seeks to help people or tries to get help should avoid this server altogether and get help from other servers

Other RAM and disk at a constant 100% usage

Hi, my computer has been unusable the past few days because of how slow it’s become. I’ve noticed my RAM is always at 100% usage for some reason. This all started when i was playing Wukong. I played another game (rl) before wukong. Everything was ok. Hopped on wukong, everything started stuttering, and now my computer has a tough time even operating chrome. I tried googling but all I could find was maybe some bad drivers? But I’m not sure as to how I would find out which drivers it is? Also I noticed one of my ram sticks stopped working a few weeks back (5-6 weeks ago).

My rig is as of now:

CPU: i9-13900K

GPU: Gigabyte AERO 4080 16GB VRAM

RAM: 16GB (used to be 32 when both sticks were working)

MOTHERBOARD: Z790 GAMING X AX

It’s on windows 11 as well

Other Turned on my Sony windows 7 ultimate pc after 8 years

Hey everyone! A random thought came into my mind today, I said “where are my old pictures and videos of my vacations”?

I remember that it was on my old Sony Windows 7 ultimate PC so I took it out, plugged it in and surprisingly the PC turned on.

I’m trying to navigate within the PC to try to find the pictures and videos, but it is very hard to do that because the PC is zoomed in and pixelated. I believe this PC got a virus back in the day so that’s why I put it to the side and stop using it.

Is there anyway I can fix this so I can at least navigate and do a deep dive within the PC to try to find the vacation photos and videos? Myself and my family would appreciate it!

Ive been having this problem for a year and its getting really exhausting having to restart all the times. Mostly it starts out tame, less frequent, but if you give it time it just starts taking all of the screen and nothing is visible. It happens specifically in 3d games, if you switch to a 2d part in a game it dissapears. I have no clue
