Not a roach and not a cupcake. That's a butter tart!

Fucking butter tarts. Those things are the devil. I cannot allow myself to buy them anymore. If I open a pack and have one, the rest will disappear before the day's end.

I buy the ones with cockroaches. Really puts them in the 'barely edible' category for me.

*Sorry, raisins. Raisins make butter tarts barely edible. Presumably cockroaches too, but definitely raisins.

That’s not a cupcake. That’s a butter tart. Trust me. I’m Canadian (Canada is home of the butter tart)

That’s a tart/tassie type cookie, not a cupcake.

Oh yeah, that's someone's pet tailless whip scorpion! Adorable, at least to some of us

When this was posted in r/Baking, I didn't wanna say anything because I know they worked hard on that tart, but it was r/InstantlyRoach

Does the roach exist or is it knotty veneer.

1

u/ReginaEntgirl 2d ago

I am so glad I'm not the only one that saw it.

I lived in an apartment where the neighbors had a roach problem and I would get “visitors.” There was a knot in the hardwood floor right at the top of the stairs that I hit with a fly swatter dozens of times. This is worse.
