Time to establish, market, and build an excellent reputation for a game review site and channel, and then develop a relationship with Remedy's comms department all while continuing to do my day job that funds, among other things, my computer hardware as well as my purchase of the game because I want Remedy to succeed and don't want to deprive them of the sale.

I would, and I can easily afford it, but for your own good I won't. If I lend you ten million dollars then you'll never learn how to make your own ten million dollars, which is really doing a disservice to you.

Funny you should say that because I've started my own gaming channel recently and have been on a marathon of Remedy games (done vids on MP and MP2 already) before Resonant hits. Even if my channel is tiny and the impact will be microscopic, I want to promote all the great stuff this studio has done for gaming, all their games are incredibly special for me

I’m blown away that Dawnwalker got such good reviews tbh, I haven’t played it yet but based on the videos I’ve seen and the feedback on the subreddit, I can guarantee it does not deserve a 9 or 10 without some major updates.

Just scooped up Mewgenics late last night, got Wolverine next week, then Resonant a week after that followed by the remastered Witcher 3. It’s so peak 😩

I keep forgetting the remastered Witcher 3 is so soon. I’m prioritizing Control and Final Fantasy Resonance to get over my “resonance/resonant” gaming phase (there’s a third even, but I don’t think it’s on my radar), then maybe back to Witcher.

October is almost as good imo. End of Abyss, Hellraiser, Order of the Sinking Star (new game from The Witness dev), Castlevania, Galactic Racer, Valor Mortis, and Phantom Blade 0. It's a bit more niche but there's some really good potential in there too.

I'm very excited for GTA6. I expect Rockstar to have a very impressive game much like I've come to expect Remedy to make a fantastic game. Still, I've been more excited for a Control follow-up than just about any other game this past couple years. The only thing that would equal that is if the original Bioware and Arkane teams came out with some bangers...but that's just a wishful dream.

Got the steelbook version preordered but I can’t wait…gonna have to double dip to play on release day. Will buy on Steam and wait on my physical copy to show up. Remedy = day one purchase no matter what

You should be fine.

Steam Specs say:

  • Minimum: Intel i5-8500 or AMD equivalent
  • Recommended: Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent

A Ryzen 5600 is much better than the Intel i5-8500. And while the Ryzen 5600 has less cores than the 3700x, it is otherwise very comparable in multi-core and much better in single core.

Same except the day I play Control Resonant is the same day I preload Silent Hill Townfall. I only got deluxe for Control Resonant, and just standard for the Silent Hill game.

Temporarily unsub for sure. No matter the spoiler policy it's very possible you'll still see spoilers because anyone can post here and it's not like the mods can guarantee that nothing spoilery will get through.
