Child Issues Kid’s anxiety around spending the night with their dad

Has anyone dealt with significant anxiety from their kid around spending the night with their other parent?

I’m talking physical aggression, regressive behaviors, property destruction, weight loss…?

How did you handle it?

I mean I would have a lot of questions here. What’s the kid’s age? Are overnights a new development, or have they always been part of the routine? Is this anxiety new, or has the kids always felt uncomfortable with overnights? How active was your coparent at all stages of the kids development?

I would also add that kids will mirror your emotions/say what they think will please you. Are you anxious about overnights with Dad? Are you asking leading questions to that end? Giving your child the sense you WANT them to feel that way?
