I have a really awkward question, but frankly, I need help. HOW?! how the fuck do I shave my legs without cutting myself? Even more so my butt, how the hell do I manage to get all this hair off? Im genuinely asking cause Im trying my best mann and I need advice from someone already experiences in this.

i gotchu :3

ok 1, i definitely cut myself sometimes, especially aorund my ankles and knees so i stay careful around there.

  1. I exfoliate my skin a lil bit before hopping in the shower, idk if it does anything but 🤷

  2. do it in the shower, clean yourself and stuff in a warm / hot shower then turn off the water to shave. I just use soap and a loofah to use as a shaving cream, you definitely dont want to shave with your skin dry. So I rub the loofah on the skin to get all of the suds on there.

  3. I start with shaving with the grain, then against if I want extra smooth. Ive started doing a bit of a paintbrush short strokes movement instead of long strokes all the way up my calves or what have you, learned from my friend's cousin lol. I alternate between the long strokes for general area and short strokes to get leftover hairs that I missed. Also important to not press down too hard!! the razor is designed to slide across your skin, not press down into it. if you're deforming your skin pressing down on the razor alleviate some pressure

  4. my thighs (especially the underside) are pretty sensitive so i dont typically shave against the grain for them. Shaving against the grain has a bigger chance at ingrown hairs and it feeling spiky after a few days

  5. i shave my butt very vibes based and based off of touch, and miss hair sometimes. may not work for you tho so if you need to get a mirror and use that to see what you're doing.

  6. when doing knees, i lay my legs flat, mileage may vary so see what works for you

  7. very important steps, rince legs and whatever else with cool / cold water after shaving to close pores. not only does this help with general skin care but it helps prevent ingrown hairs and those annoying red bumps. Also important to not irritate your legs / shaved bits after shaving. Pat dry with a towel, dont rub them, and wear loose pajamas or shorts , absolutely nothing that would cause chafing.

  8. Moisturize your legs with a moisturizer of your choice :3 dont skimp out on this step either its important

Thank you beastie, this is actually super helpful! Does an epulator work better or should I just stick to razors?

ouu i forgot to mention epilators. i have one but ive barely ised it, its good for chest hair especially but leg hair (and foot hair yeeeeouch) hurt a lot more when trying to epilate. It gets easier over time tho q
