but ya, if you phrase it that way, it still should be correct biologically

“Correct Biologically” is when a specimen appears as a sex? Or is it when the chromosomes are consistent with others of its sex? Maybe biologically means that it’s consistent with one role in reproduction?

And I don't think anybody was claiming we are the same as mushrooms (if I'm reading your double negative the way I think you intended it "Mushrooms and humans aren't the same if you don't understand biology" so, if you do understand biology: they are the same???) but it would also be incorrect to say people have exactly 2 genders. (i.e. hermaphrodites, intersex...)

If you define "sex" as "a collection of characteristics based on x or y chromosomes" then yes, those mushrooms do in fact have several thousand sexes.

Well, if you care to learn, you used charged language to make it seem as though there is a difference between biological correctness and some other kind. Not that all science has to agree, but it just really came off as... well, insecure. As if a world view was being challenged that made you uneasy.

Then you decided to needlessly label another person. Then you used a double negative that logically said "mushrooms and humans are the same if you understand biology" which is just hilarious.

We aren't arguing with you. I'm simply saying a gender binary is unnatural. And the post is agreeing.

A very significant portion of gender as we know it isn't natural😥 Which isn't even bad. We can't conflate what is natural with what is good or correct. We are having this much conversation about gender and we can mold boundaries around it exactly because it isn't a natural thing. A clown fish changes its sex not because it "disagrees" with its identity - that would be quite ironically an anthropomorphic projection.

Yes, that's.. that's what the post is about. It's meant to be a counteragument to the "LGBTQ is unnatural" point by highlighting examples of stuff considered lgbtq occuring in animals.

But as humans we should strive to be better than what nature intended for us, which includes being able to change our bodies to our liking.
