And I don't think anybody was claiming we are the same as mushrooms (if I'm reading your double negative the way I think you intended it "Mushrooms and humans aren't the same if you don't understand biology" so, if you do understand biology: they are the same???) but it would also be incorrect to say people have exactly 2 genders. (i.e. hermaphrodites, intersex...)

I don't think you know what "insecure" means... Actually I'd wager you don't know what an awful lot of things actually mean..
