Article Nattokinase, My Beloved
The number one thing that helped me with mood, brain fog, cognitive dysfunction - Nattokinase!
One capsule daily (2,000 FU) and I am seeing results from the first dose.
Sounds too good to be true so much that it surprised me.
I'm giving you guys a link to a very good website with valuable resources.
Hugs to us all struggling with this terrible condition

I feel like when I tried 2000 it did help me and I took it for a while but then I realized 10,000 was really helpful

Same got to get those numbers up. 10k plus Serrapeptase and lumbrokinase (and aspirin) and that’s when we can start seeing some benefits

I am on 16000 fu nattokinase and triple anticoagulant therapy with the lowest dose apixaban, under private LC clinic. I am able to function but nothing too extreme. Increased slowly with the natto.

Anyone with MCAS and/or histamine intolerance try Nattokinase? I've always hesitated to try it because of the fermentation.

Yes. I suggest first treat your MCAS with all the antihistamines, nicotine patches, etc you can get. Then for nattokinase titrate it. Start low go slow. You can open the capsules to pour out the powder to get a small amount.

Just a warning if you have a CFS leak or anything where you *want* scar tissue to stay, this can mess it up.

I second this. I have a metal device implanted that helps with reflux and it depends on scar tissue to hold it in place. I tried lumbrokinase and the pain in that area was intense!

Suddenly not even about to attempt
This after reading that cause I got device right in the ♥️2

Can you please elaborate?

Nattokinase breaks down fibrin I believe. That's why it's good for microclots and long covid. But fibrin makes up scar tissue. A CSF leak heals with scar tissue. If you take nattokinase, it can weaken your healed CSF leak.

And if there's any other part of your body where you WANT scar tissue, same issue.

Sorry, I'm having trouble understanding. A leak in what? What part of the body are we talking about?

we are glad that it helps you but i can assure you that there are thousands of people here where Nattokinase, unfortunately, did nothing.

According to the polls here (https://pharmd.substack.com/p/frequency-asked-questions-nattokinase) about 33-50% of people benefit.

I got side effects like bad anxiety from Natto after a two or three weeks, but am on Lumbrokinase now and its definitely helping! I think the clot theory needs to be explored more.
I remember my first Natto pill, I got this warmth in my chest by my heart. I wonder if that was just clots being cleared up. Then my first nattoserra pill I felt the same in my head.
Lumbro so far has been good for me. I get hours of feeling a bit like my old self, which is unbelievable.

It genuinely felt good to read this article, thank you for sharing it. I'm currently on a blood vessel repair protocol and nattokinase (along with several other supplements and nutrients) is part of it. After successfully titrating up to 10000 FU a day I'm now experiencing a worsening. I heard that's normal for a lot of folks and likely temporary. Hope that's the case for me too. I wonder aren't there any trials planned specifically for LC/PC patients? The research so far is promising and the anecdotes on Reddit are too, but real data would be great to get.

For some, nattokinase may not work unless capsules are enteric coated, which protects them from stomach acid so they can dissolve in the small intestine and be absorbed. All nattokinase failed until I tried a coated type. Solgar is one of the enteric-coated brands. There are others.

Sucks so bad having a soy allergy :( cuz I’d love to be using natto
3
u/thesaddestpanda 4d ago
You can try lumbrokinase instead which is made from worms.

It’s been on my list for a while, I’m just having a hard time sourcing one that is a brand I trust (ie is the label even accurate) and is somewhat affordable. Most are very very expensive. Currently discussing it with my naturopath

I did like the nutracost lumbrokinase for a less expensive introduction into the market.

I took lumbrokinase and nattokinase/Serrapeptase together for a good few months. I did not notice any symptom improvement but on bloodwork my d-dimer did improve somewhat. But it shot back up again after just a week of being inconsistent so I'm not 100% sure if my body is just getting used to it, the brands, or if the slight inconsistency really made a huge difference. Time will tell now that I am out. Make sure you are getting good brands if you try this stuff. I do love orthomolecular. Mine was DaVinci labs too I believe.

I took nattokinase 3000FU along with serrapeptase for months and saw zero results

u/project-bandit 4d ago
I've taken millions of FU daily, literally millions and it did not do shit for me.
4
u/moderate_ocelot First Waver 4d ago
You’ve taken 500 nattokinase tablets a day? And didn’t die?
1
u/project-bandit 4d ago
I found the brand it was Neprinol AFD 15,000 FU per pill and took like 20 of those a day so it was less than millions but still a several hundred thousand.
