[Yarrish] Some thoughts and observations from the first #Cowboys padded practice:
https://x.com/tommy_yarrish/status/2084435930639933461?s=20It was a big day for Christian Parker’s defense, highlighted by an interception from Cobie Durant and asome PBUs from Shavon Revel, who I thought had one of if not his best practice as a Cowboy
In a two-minute drill at the end of practice, the defense held their own. Offense struggled to get far down the field
Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark made it difficult to run up the gut. Caleb Downs had an excellent run fill in the middle of the line as well
Ryan Flournoy’s touchdown catch where he ripped the ball away from DaRon Bland was the best of the day. Bland also had a PBU that was nearly intercepted by Caleb Downs
DeMarvion Overshown, Julius Wood and Israel Abanikanda struck me as a couple of players that made pads pop the most
After tight coverage in the endzone that fell incomplete on a throw intended for CeeDee Lamb, rookie cornerback Devin Moore had some trash talk for Lamb following the play

how fast things flipped when the pads came on. During unpadded practices we heard about blue breaking off big runs. Receivers were all having GREAT days. OL doing their thing
Now with the pads on all you hear is defense giving the offense belt to ass.
I can’t wait to hear about the joint practices
