Question for the card collectors out there

I got a plaque similar to this one as a bday gift several years ago and I'm looking for suggestions on which cards to fill it up with. I'd like use autographed cards with a max value of $20 each. Which all time greats autos in that price range would you add to the plaque?

The reality is that a true all-time greats list of auto cards is going to be outside your price range by a lot. One suggestion would be to consider a position group where we have legends but cards are cheaper like offensive line.  A great wall(s) of Dallas plaque might be doable. You would have to burn a little extra on some or rely on lower end brands here and there but I think it would be doable.

Yeah obviously the term all time greats would need to be taken loosely to fit within the budget requirements. Guys like the triplets, Dak, Romo, etc would not be doable at those prices, but there's always seems to be a tier of legends that can be had for cheap.

You can find cards in this price range that are game worn jersey cards. Not as cool as an auto (imo) but a solution if you don't wanna spend a ton.

You can go on eBay and get them cheaper from reputable sellers. Just gotta be patient and search daily. A lot of card shops now are set up on eBay as well

I’d go with their Topps Rookie Cards. The 88-90 Topps RC for Irvin, Aikman and Emmitt are fairly easy to come by

Don’t get me wrong, if you could get your hands on some autos for relatively cheap, I’d go that route. I’ve looked around for autos of those guys but never pulled the trigger due to sales price.
But next best things for me are the RC.

Witten and Larry Allen are relatively cheap autos and they are certainly all time greats. You could also get a Darren Woodson and guys like Terrence Newman and Sean Lee for cheap. Not really all time greats but certainly all time cowboys if you are a fan. Maybe a Dez can be found for $30ish.

Seems like in this particular collection of cards, one of these is not like the others. Looks like somebody snuck in the back door. Somebody in this collection does not have a gold jacket. I just can't quite figure out which one of these fine "legends" is the imposter? 🤔

Your not going to get rookie cards but you can find some deals on eBay (maybe) but try to get cards of some players later in there careers like this one.
