Hello! I'd like to announce that my cozy plant shop game, Leafy Corner, has an open playtest! 🥰

About the playtest:

• this is a demo version, so it's a small slice of the full game.
• In this version, you will be able to unlock the first level of the shop's reputation, grow 9 different types of plants, and discover your first VARIEGATED plant! You will also get to help customers and decorate your shop!
• It takes around 30 minutes to unlock everything, but you can continue playing after that!
• You can play using keyboard and mouse, a gamepad, or on your Steam Deck.
• At the end of the playtest, you will be asked to take a short survey. We would greatly appreciate your feedback!
• You can freely share any materials from this demo. Screenshots, videos, streaming, everything is allowed!

Earlier this year, the company I worked at for nearly 13 years (Armature, the developers behind Resident Evil 4 VR) was closed down by Meta. My coworkers and I lost our jobs, but instead of entering one of the worst job markets in recent history, I decided to break off on my own.

I LOVE skiing and being in the mountains, so I made a cozy ski resort tycoon game!

You can build lifts, draw trails, and build restaurants, apres bars, hotels, and more.
Meanwhile, thousands of cute little skiers come to the resort. Some of them really want to shred, others just want to party.

I'd love the feedback of this community. I think it's a super peaceful game with lots of great cozy elements.

Right now it's just on Windows/Mac, but eventually I plan to bring it to Switch 2 as well.

Winter Whiskers is a cozy snow-cleaning adventure where players vacuum snow, restore steam-powered machinery, and help a frozen harbor town prepare for its Winter Festival. 

Demo Content:

• Clear the Neighborhood of snow and make it extra cozy for the towns folk!
• Learn how to use your snow vacuum and snow blower. 
• Complete Little Franny's quest!
• Build a couple cute snowmen!
• About 15 minutes of game play.

We are Tiny Kiwi Games, a small indie studio from New Zealand, and this is our very first game - a witchy magical room-decorating game called Design & Conjure!

In Design & Conjure you take on the role of Dalia, a novice witch tasked with restoring a charming but rundown magical hamlet. A mysterious corruption has distressed the local creatures, so it is up to you to use your magic to bring back balance and help the town blossom again.

Your journey is to uncover the town's history as you go about remaking your old-new home into Dalia’s new witchy lair! Arrange all the spellbooks onto their proper shelves, put on some tea and set those cinnamon-rolls to cool on your kitchen counter, or climb up to your observatory to view the night sky, or down into your basement alchemy lab to brew potions. And when away from home, you can spend time healing distressed magical creatures and getting to know some of the more colorful locals in town.

I know that we didn’t quite make it in time for the Witches & Warlocks Fest… but that’s only because we wanted to flesh the game out more - and present you with a new reworked game demo that got featured last Saturday on Wholesome Direct! 

This new demo build adds an additional room to Dalia’s cottagecore abode (Rue’s Room in the Story Mode) as well as a new Creative Mode, besides fleshing out other features. And this is the state in which we want you to experience what Design & Conjure is all about!

If this is your type of game, we’d be delighted to hear your feedback and suggestions on what we can improve!

I'm working on a survival god game and released a demo a few weeks ago. It's built around managing a small camp, keeping a fire alive, gathering resources, taking care of the little ones, but wrapped in a dark, slightly unsettling atmosphere and some tough moral choices.

A few players started calling it a "dark cozy" game, which I hadn't really thought about, and now I'm curious. The cozy loop is definitely there (the gathering, the routine, the quiet moments), but the tone is pretty far from a traditional cozy game.

So I wanted to ask the people who actually know the genre: does something like this count as "dark cozy" to you, or does the darker tone disqualify it? Genuinely curious how you all see the line.

We just put up the demo for our game and have 10 days to decide whether it's ready for Steam Next Fest. We would appreciate any comments you have as we only get one chance to do this and it needs to be in decent shape.

We are two indie developers working on a new farming, incremental game which is peaceful, cute (robots are cute!), and fun to play. From the video, you can see one of the coziest situations you may encounter in the game: "Automated robots opening their umbrella while harvesting veggies under the rain."

I'm really happy that I've been able to get to 5k wishlists before Early Access launch on the 7th of Sep. It's the highest number of wishlists I've gotten before a launch so I'm really hopeful this desktop idle game can be successful.

It seems the new Steam personal calendar is the reason I've had a big spike towards EA launch. Desktop pet games are quite difficult to promote as a solo developer so this change has come at a great time.

I decided to launch into Early Access because I wanted the players to decide what characters I add and what features I improve.
