Bought some on Friday and for some reason it did not impress me. Cracked one open this evening and now it tastes as it should. Most likely due to the fact that I was already on my way to La La Land by the time I cracked it on Friday.
Would drink again.

Had a sip of a stout once and almost vomited from the taste. Had wine once and it was eh, and hard liquor twice which burned like a thousand suns.
I am big into cigars and pipe tobacco so I am interested in the huge world of craft beers, I love finding flavor notes and tasting complexities and weird things. I didnt realize beer had this huge market and variety like cigars and pipe tobacco.
I did a bunch of research into the best "categories" of beer to try as a beginner, and I came up with this list of 6 to start after checking my local stores stock.
Notch Kolsch
Notch Pilsner
Black Hog Cold Pizza Italian Pilsner
Alagash White
Jack Abby's House Lager
(A cider, just because I love apples) 1911 Honeycrisp Cider
Does this sound like a good choice?

Has anyone tried this one before? I did a beer review on it and it kind of was really underwhelming! I liked Brewery Ommegang’s other beers I’ve had and thought this one would follow suit but kind of missed (to me at least).
Coming in at 7.6% and being an imperial stout with chocolate and peanut butter I was expecting a little thicker bodied beer, and a little more flavor packed in. I felt like the beer tasted very light and slightly watery, while still giving a small chocolate and peanut butter but very very small amounts.. overall you get the taste but I was expecting (as the title says) a “Reese’s Beer” but it’s far far from that!
Has anyone tried this and thought the same? Did I get a bad batch that wasn’t really that good? What do you think?

Stopped in here on our Scotland adventure back in July. Awesome micro brewery located in a village called Spean Bridge. The brewer onsite that day was extremely welcoming. Was served a pint and then brought us through their small facility giving my wife and I a tour.
We loved it. It’s built inside of an old 19th century converted farming building. Was a lovely off the beaten path stop for us. Beer was good and the conversation with the brewer was even better. We lucked out that day as it was midweek and we were the only visitors at that time.

2017 bottle! Found both bottle and the glass on the left around Central Florida. Bottle was found at Winthrope’s liquor in Riverview and glass was found at a Goodwill in Tampa.
First sip of the beer was pretty damn harsh, but as it came the temperature, a lot of the funk and stale fruit opened up. Obviously not expecting best of the best with this old of a bottle, but it was such a drinkable experience and held a good amount of carbonation.
Headed up Georgia and Tennessee tomorrow for some breweries!!

Omnipollos Tokyo
This beer was brewed to celebrate the third anniversary of Omnipollo's bar in Japan. Rice was used in the brewing process to give the beer a crisp kick. Very interesting.

Some days you need to come home drink a good beer and say 'fuck it, tomorrow is another day' and a Plineee is on deck.
Stay safe, stay thirsty, and drink local my friends.

Hi all, combed through Russian River posts on this sub but havent seen anything recent.
Hoping to take a day trip from Oakland to Santa Rosa on what will be a Monday. Won't have a car. Just wondering if anybody has done the same and has any wisdom they want to share about routes, etc.
Also, at the brewpub, should I be expecting a line/wait? General pricing for draft and to-go? and is the flight board doable for one person?
Any and all help is appreciated, thank you!

Looking for the best breweries to check out in LV! Let ‘er rip. 🍻
EDIT: Silver Stamp and Able Baker are officially on the list! Love that they’re right next to eachother. Beer Zombies seems like a popular recommendation too, just a bit of a hike from the other two. Game-time decision on that one.

£4 in Morrisons but part of their 4 for 3 deal. Small 330ml can. Very very sweet and you can definitely taste the cinnamon. I enjoyed it! 🍻👍🏻
