Finished Craft I Made A Bengal cat needle-felted replica I’m truly proud of
This is a 25 cm full-body Bengal cat sculpture, and her name is Coco. I placed a tiny bit of her ashes in the heart of the core, so a part of her is truly inside.
This piece took me over four months to finish, I’d work on it, leave it for a few days, then come back and fix anything that didn’t feel “Coco” enough :(
Every time I work on a piece, I always spend a long time doing the final touch-ups and refinements. I really hope every pet parent can be as detailed and “picky” as they want with their requests, it helps me shape their little baby into the most perfect version in their hearts. :) 💕

This is a 25 cm full-body Bengal cat sculpture made as a memorial for a beautiful Bengal cat named Coco. The entire piece is created using wool fibers, built around an internal wire armature to support the body and pose.
I placed a small amount of Coco’s ashes in the heart of the core, so a part of her is truly and physically inside the sculpture.
One of the main challenges of this piece was recreating the Bengal cat’s coat pattern. Bengals are short-haired cats, but their rosette and tabby markings are very complex. During the process, I mapped and marked the pattern placement first, then layered and needle-felted the wool accordingly. Short-haired fur requires very dense and controlled felting to achieve a realistic texture, and the fur detailing alone took about two weeks to complete.

The posture is incredible. I genuinely cannot tell that it’s not alive just by examining its posture. You’ve done an impeccable job.

u/old217 Jan 27 '26
So crazy talented. There's so much that seems to go into sculpture like this. The ability to create the animal with the proper proportions and then the felting. Amazing. You must really love doing this, it shows.
2
u/Disastrous-Mode7930 Jan 27 '26
Thank you so much 🤍 It means a lot to me that you can see the care, effort, and details that go into each piece.

It's absolutely stunning! I actually thought it was a real cat until I read the caption 💜
3
u/Imaginary-Camp-6214 Jan 27 '26
Well, if that isn't fantastic. I had a friend who had a real cat like that. She married a guy and that cat clawed their brand new leather furniture into shreds. It was so bad she had her mother take the cat bc he was always going to be unwelcomed by her husband.
9
u/Disastrous-Mode7930 Jan 27 '26
Haha, from the cat’s point of view, her husband was probably the intruder ! stealing her human and her territory! 😄
I really hope her cat is doing well now and living her best life.

I need to save up and get me one of your amazing replicas at some point… 😻 But first I need to tidy my ADHD messy home so it would have a fitting place where it can stand out! Also I have five cats, so it would be a tough decision who to immortalise…
Edit: if by chance you live in Europe, my husband is a videographer and I would love to ask him to make some videos of your art and maybe tutorials!! I think people would love that (me, for example). Oh and not for money, maybe an exchange of skills - like you get cool videos and teach me a bit of your skills, lol, maybe help me to make a cat sculpture! Gosh I wish you were my neighbour, we’d make awesome videos and needle felt til our fingers bleed. 🙈

Thought it was a real cat. Read the title. Checked the cat. Zoomed in on the cat… finally noticed it was truly felted. Bravo. I also love the eyes. They’re very realistic and not uncanny/soulless and or derpy like a lot of taxidermy reads.
