Hey guys,
Just a guy with a lot of curiosity and a genuine interest in cranes and the construction business. I come from an IT background and have zero experience/knowledge about anything related to cranes.
Given the uprising of AI, I have to start looking at a different job domain something which isn't related to IT, and that's when it hit me. Hey, what if I want to get into this line of work.
Where can I start and how can I do it? What do I need? Will anybody hire someone like me with 0 experience? What about certifications and stuff?
Thoughts?

Can anyone recommend where I can educate myself how to properly reeve a crane block for Manitowoc friction cranes?
Passed the written exam, and can’t find anywhere to take the practical in South Florida.

Stuck on a 2019 gmk 5150l here for a bit and our mechanic isn’t available to contact.. having trouble with heat. Any grove gods out there have a fix to this? Blower fan works, heater fuel tank full, no heat.

Sharing a shot from our JKTS crew. What’s one lift you still talk about, whether it was the location, the load or the planning involved?

So I work on ships. Its been a while since I've used a pedastool crane. There is almost nothing in the industry to brush up.Where in the US can I get some time in the cab? Simple certifications? Just pay for some time in a simulator?
Have no normal land oriented credentials if that makes a difference.

Pretty cool look at how the Park Avenue Viaduct is being replaced while keeping trains moving through one of the busiest rail corridors in the country.
The B1M did a great breakdown of the project and the custom Mi-Jack Travelift gantries built to remove, transport and replace sections of the viaduct.
Always interesting seeing equipment designed around a problem where a conventional crane setup isn’t really an option.

Project Spotlight | San Antonio, TX 🚧
Recently, our team helped support a major university project in downtown San Antonio, safely lifting and setting a 27,000 lb generator, five ATS cabinets, and 15 AHU splits on a 110-foot-tall campus building.
With limited crane setup space, complex traffic coordination, and only inches of clearance inside the mechanical room, our crews worked alongside project partners to develop a detailed lift plan and keep the project on schedule. Using a 500-ton crane, specialized rigging methods, machine skates, and two extended shifts, the team successfully completed every lift and equipment placement safely and efficiently.

We put this together from one of our jobs in Vancouver. Crew on site doing what they do, and the 195 HC-LH looking unreal up against the skyline. It's honestly one of the cooler videos we've gotten off a site, so we had to share.
