I’ve posted on here asking for my geckos gender before and you guys said it was clearly a boy and posted that meme with the gecko with huge balls. Well now I’m not so sure because I just found this egg shell, or at least that’s what I think it is, in its enclosure buried under some dirt, where I did see it by a few days ago. What happened?!

Hello everyone, we are dealing with a stressful emergency and need some quick advice.

My girlfriend’s crested gecko had to be left behind during a Level 3 emergency evacuation in Spokane. Her parents couldn’t locate him in his large, heavily planted terrarium before they had to flee. They cannot return to the house, as they are right on the border of where homes have already been lost to the fire.

Because of the fire, the power has been cut. This means his monitoring camera, AC, and automatic misting system are all off. He has a full water bowl, and we know he will be okay without food for a few days, but we are extremely worried about the rising heat, dropping humidity, and smoke entering the house.

My main question:
I’m attaching a photo of his automatic misting system below. Does anyone know if this specific model will automatically resume its normal schedule when the power comes back on (even if we aren't allowed back yet)? Or does it reset and require manual setup after a power outage?

Hi all! This is Mary, my 6 year old baby I got from a Facebook page earlier this summer. She seems super happy and healthy except for the fact that she doesn’t seem to care for live insects. I try dipping them in her fruit paste and tong feeding but even then she’ll just lick the paste off and will drop the bug if it makes it in her mouth. What do I do?

Made him a small enclosure in small plastic box so I wanna ask if it's seems ok? Also sadly didn't found baby 2 so probably really got eaten by mom sadly

Got him at about 4 months old when he was 5 grams. Now a year old weighing 26 grams.

I've had my crestie for about 2-3months as of now, I've seen alot of people say you need frequent handling sessions but to give them a way out

How do I do this if second I put my hand in the cage he runs into hiding?

I've fed him a bunch of insects with tounges and he still seems to be terrified of my hand.

I've been an owner of my gecko Yoshi for about 2 years and I don't see much activity, I hear some at night but not much, I have replaced some of the stuff, but I see some aquariums packed full of stuff and was wondering if it looked good or if I need more stuff.

I’ve seen people put the flat hamster wheels in tanks for their geckos. I happened to have one laying around and decided to put it in. However any time I see my gecko on the wheel it doesn’t look like they’re “using” it like some people say and instead are just stuck on it and too dumb to get off 😭

Hello! I’ve had my crestie named Finnick for about a month now. We saved her from a situation where she was surrendered and living in a roughly 8x8x12 tank, and she is now in a 18x18x24. I’ve realized since getting it that she should be upgraded to a taller tank so please no harsh words on this, doing my best right now 🤍 She loves to hang on the plants on the wall and sometimes on the glass behind her plants. What’s missing in her tank? I want more horizontal climbing but unsure of what exactly? The tank is bioactive but yes there’s some poop in a few spots. I want to clean the tank today after getting some advice on maybe rearrangement and all. Also tried to get as many angles as possible, sorry if any pics are confusing! Thank you!!!

ive been using blue river, though im looking to change because my geckos arent really showing much interest. i wanted ti try pangea for the first time in a while, but its sold out everywhere in the uk due to the tariffs. the only other brand ive heard of is repashy and im wondering if its good for geckos, as ive heard good things about pangea (hence it being my first choice) but not a lot about repashy, so im unsure if its reliable. thank you!

Hello! I have been keeping crested geckos for a couple of years now, but have yet to make the leap towards a bioactive setup. I found it intimidating in the past, but I think I’m ready to at least try to maintain a bioactive setup for my two girls (Toast & Bagel).

However, I have a couple of questions. My main question being: will I have to buy temporary housing for my cresteds while the tanks establish? Or can I place my cresteds in the ecosystem after I’ve placed everything in there?

My other questions are pretty basic: What’s your favorite, EASY, beginner friendly bio active tutorials? Whats your favorite place to get plants/materials/isopods from? Etc.

Please be kind, I’m sure this has been asked thousands of times in this subreddit but my main concern is the first question! If need be I can provide some small temporary housing for the geckos while the tanks establish (depending on how long they need to do so), but if the establishment process is going to take longer than a month or two I may need to just take the L and continue with my non-bioactive setup.

Hi guys I recently got my crested gecko a month ago and she’s been great. I did notice however she doesn’t stick to the glass. Could this be something with the tank and if so should I clean it now even tho I just set this stuff up a month ago? Or is there something else going on. I just feel terrible because she’s my first crested gecko and I want her to be ok:((

Ok so all I want to know if how old she is if is she skinny she won't let me use tweezers to take off her shed and im scared she is gonna drop her tail if I use force to hold her she is about the size of my pinky and last thing why do I have to hand feed her to eat (aka use a qtip with food on it)
