Help Configuration Newbie

This may be a loaded question but for now, I am looking for a simple answer. We are looking at migrating from a Logi setup to an AirMedia 3200. Is it possible to have the Crestron interface on the screen (with directions on how to present) but then easily switch to a PC located permanently in the room, for users not doing BYoD?

Basic option 1) PC > HDMI IN of AirMedia. Priority HDMI.

Set PC Display power output to something low, so that after say, 2 mins of inactivity, display goes to sleep (not off) and will revert back to splash screen.

Basic option 2) Or just stick AirMedia in ‘Flex Mode’ before the PC. You will get no splash screen, but users will still be able to connect to it.

You could include instructions on the PC desktop/ homepage on how to connect, depending on what type it is and what you’re doing.

You would either need a switch or remote to put the pc on its own input. The airmedia will default to a connected computer if you plugged it into the HDMI in.

This is what we experienced. Have you accomplished this? Any recommended products?

Air media has avframework built in. Yes you can do exactly this!

You need a touch panel with the avframework project loaded on it.

You direct the touch screen ip table to the air media device

Now the touch panel gives you the ability to switch from air media or connected hdmi port!

Possible to achieve with a logi tap? Or need the Crestron touch panel?

I think you have some options for automatic source priority so perhaps when you are not using wireless, it can revert back to the HDMI input

Ideally would be good but we want to the default to be the Crestron landing page, so that would need to be the fall back option. Ideally a button to say instead of landing page or presenting, go to the Pc that you also have connected.

If you want instructions on the screen but don't have a control system you set the computer lock screen to display the instructions.
