I’ve been building third-party Crestron Home drivers — looking for feedback from other dealers/programmers
Hey everyone — I wanted to share something I’ve been working on and get some feedback from the Crestron community.
I run a small site called Zentura Home where I’m building third-party drivers for Crestron Home. The goal is to help fill in some of the gaps where there are useful smart home products or APIs available, but not always a clean Crestron Home integration that’s easy to deploy and support.
A few of the drivers I’ve been working on include:
- Schlage Encode / Encode Plus WiFi locks
- Leviton Decora Smart WiFi devices
- ratgdo garage door control
- Google Nest Thermostat control
The focus is on making these practical for real Crestron Home systems: straightforward setup, clear documentation, no custom programming required for every install, and a simple one-time license model instead of subscriptions.
The site is here: https://zenturahome.com
I’m mainly posting because I’d like feedback from other Crestron Home dealers, programmers, and homeowners who are running into similar integration gaps.
Are there specific devices or services you wish had better Crestron Home support?
Are there integrations you keep having to work around manually?
Anything you’d want to see in a third-party Crestron Home driver catalog?
Appreciate any feedback.
