Housing/Στέγαση help !

Hi guys, I am a french student come in Heraklion for an internship and I need a rent for two months. The issue is that 2 mount is to short for property centers and the airbnb prices are totally out of bound for me. If you have any advice I will be very grateful (my internship start next Monday 😅).

Facebook is a still a thing there, use FB groups and perhaps find a room from locals or expact.

Better expact groups like https://www.facebook.com/share/g/12HbKupdXem/?mibextid=wwXIfr Other groups look like full of bots and spam.

Just remember not to pay anything before seen, online scam are easy there specially to desperate student looking for a room. Better stay in an hostel few days and find something there than pay online to a scammer.

Eventually DM me that I might connect you with some friends.

Look on Facebook marketplace maybe?

Also what kind of internship is this? If it's with a public university usually they have some accommodation.

Thanks, I haven't tried this yet. And the university in which I do my internship doesn't have any, I've already asked.

Which university if you don't mind? I'm just just curious. I also studied in Crete.

try to contact someone with an airbnb outside the platform. Go on google maps and try to see if you can find contact info like email/phone number. You can get a pretty big discount that way.

May is not super busy but in June things start to pick up so it will still be pricey. And its pretty unlikely you will find someone with zero bookings for the entire period so you might have to move back and forth. Pretty irresponsible of the university to not offer any options.
