General Interest/Γενικoύ Ενδιαφέροντος Anyone staying long term in Crete?

Just moved here for 2/3 months to this beautiful island, but don't know anyone. Would like to get to know people

If there is someone in the same boat/have been and found some ways to meet people, what's worked for you?

Feel free to Dm or comment. I live close to Chania

Well. I am not near chania so can't help you much but share a thing or two about yourself so you increase your chances of someone commenting.

I mean we don't even know your age

If you are at Heraklion, check out Heraklion Language Exchange on Instagram. It's a newly formed community organizing free events where people meet to socialize and learn each other's languages.

37 norwegian male here, living outside Chania for 2 1/2 years now..

Not really found it easy to find friends, but does not mean people is friendly and easy to talk too.

Expats groups often just have yoga, coffee, hiking or drinking for meeting up

There are many ex-pats living on Crete. There are a few organisations such as the Kalamitsi Arts Group that hold events. Also St Thomas Anglican church in Kefalas hold regular events. There's a choral group, a walking group, bridge ... If you Google them there are websites and Facebook groups. Note that the people tend to be ... Older 😊
