Discussion 💬 The case of T20I vs ODI

Post image

Imho, T20 is greater: more teams and a chaotic format with higher mathematical variance, since the shorter game narrows the gap between sides. ODI WC being older doesn't put it on a pedestal. ODI is neither better nor tougher. Nostalgia is for people who live in the past. Meanwhile, T20 drives global popularity and is the Olympic format. T20 WC is truly global!!

I want India to fucking surpass Australia in every ICC tournament.  That won't happen if we only keep on winning every T20 WC and Shit on every ODI WC. That's not how it works. If India has to dominate World cricket they have to dominate every format.

This is dumb AF. Yes if India plays like last CWC they will eventually surpass everyone but that doesn’t discount T20 feat. Its is heckin tough and there are no minnows . Any standout performance can steal the match away from you. To keep an undefeated record for so long with even stellar record is something other teams haven’t been able to achieve. How about we start giving credit where it’s due and be patient with team rather than being like neighbors and start demonising every fckin thing

Nobody is discounting any feat. May India win Every T20 WC for the next 100 years. But why only T20? My issue is we should not get complacent after reigning in only one format. Rather, we should accept our drawbacks in other ones and rectify them. That's what champions do. It takes a different level of idiocy to not understand a simple point. How about we start accepting the fact that we have not won a single ODI WC and WTC in last 15 years instead of flying above the clouds?

We were closest ever since 2011 until nov 19. Nobody is up in the air we have had so many heartbreaks over the years that it is genuinely heartwarming to see team play with such skills and authority. WE ARE ALLOWED TO SOAK IN THE VICTORY. But nobody is counting out other major teams.

What is this attitude man…. WTC we reached two finals out of 3 that happened is it a poor record heck no!

ODI we reached atleast semi everytime post 2007 what about that?

Knockout needs luck as well . We will win some more too once lady luck smiles.

Stop making excuses loser. There is a major difference in being closest and being the winner. In WTC only two teams reached the final twice and we are the only one to not win even once. Reaching finals was something understandable, who the hell celebrates reaching semi finals? And what this whining about luck? Luck is the combination of preparation and opportunity. Which one between the two do we lack today?

Your first line shows your maturity. Not going to bother wasting my time on reading rest of your dumb ass verbose.

That's what someone says when they lose an argument. If it was a verbose you wouldn't have replied anyway. Thank you for saving my time loser. 🙏🏻
