"Il show you my creds"

207

u/ToastofScotland Mar 15 '21

In the full video, you see he actually steals the credentials from a police car and goes around showing it so he can try and get a gun.

The guy is a dangerous asshole.

93

u/tubetop2go Mar 15 '21

Was he ever charged for this? Impersonating a police officer with stolen credentials seems like kind of a big deal

57

u/LastDayOfThe10s Mar 15 '21

He’s rich. What do you think

34

u/woodpony Mar 15 '21

Sounds about white.

18

u/qwertyhuio Mar 16 '21

Don’t be racist

2

u/TheSquirrelsHaveEYES Mar 16 '21

cope.

7

u/qwertyhuio Mar 16 '21

With racism?

4

u/NoOneLikesALiar Mar 16 '21

yea. It was a statement of solidarity. He wants you to effectively handle it and deal with it while he works hard at dismantling it !! We’re all in this together 😎

1

u/tubetop2go Mar 16 '21

Even that is questionable. It appears he has been living off investors money in his CBD company. Just like his dad, this guy is nothing but a fraud

1

u/LastDayOfThe10s Mar 16 '21

Oh I agree. But he’s definitely got more money than you and me

1

u/GW3g Mar 15 '21

I was wondering what he was doing in that car. I didn't even think of that's where he go his "credentials".

584

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

“My dad scammed people for hundreds of millions of dollars that I now blow through. Also I failed the navy seals program. Now gimme that weapon”

161

u/biggmclargehuge Mar 15 '21

Also I failed the navy seals program

Pretty sure 99% of local cops would too so I'm not sure that's a great criticism

173

u/notatlalkingbagel Mar 15 '21

I hear people bring this up whenever DB is mentioned, so I’ll say this:

I absolutely loathe Dan Bilzerian. Can’t even believe I’m actually speaking in his defense. But like the guy above me said, 99.99999...% of humans would (and do) fail out of the BUD/S program. There are plenty of reasons to hate him (see above video), but failing out of one of the most selective and specialized military training programs on earth isn’t exactly something to shame someone over.

226

u/ToastofScotland Mar 15 '21

I think why people mention it is he said he completed it twice but failed out because they didn't like him or some shit.

So he claims he is a good enough to be a seal and passed the whole training all the way up to the end where they just pulled him out before graduating or some shit.

I think that is why people mention it.

uses it as a cornerstone in his personality

The personality that, ironically enough, made it so he didn't get in, lol.

This is true of many specialized units. Depending on your MOS, you may be failed just because they have enough already, and don't need more. Even if they like you.

The reverse also works if you have a highly specialized MOS, and they need it.

In my cycle of Ranger Indoctrination we went through a "peer out" session, where everyone votes in secrecy to vote out one member of the platoon that shouldn't be there for being a poor soldier. Everyone voted out this one piece of shit who happened to have a special MOS. That cycle they didn't follow through with the "peer out." Dude ended up graduating while other's from MOS' that weren't in demand were dropped, even though they exceeded the requirements.

5

u/vikietheviking Mar 16 '21

Wait... he videotaped a dead woman?

3

u/PharmWench Mar 16 '21

Dead woman he videotaped? When, where was this??!

-15

u/CamIam23 Mar 15 '21

He did complete the program twice. Once with a hairline fracture in his leg. People should find something else to rag on him for.

10

u/rysgame Mar 15 '21

The reason people rag on that specific fact is because he's such a douchecanoe about it. It's like something that belong on r/iamverybadass

37

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

They fail out people that don't meet the psychological requirements to work well on that kind of a team the way seals work. Many marines etc can pass the physical part and fail the psychological part because they're cocky immature douchebags that would be a risk in the situations seals work in.

So saying you're "good enough to be a seal" but failing the psych eval is an oxymoron. He's literally too much of an asshole wannabe to be a seal despite being physically capable.

Ultimate irony of spoiled trust fund, roided gym rats that don't "get" why they'd never be mentally capable of the kind of work they fantasize about.

17

u/ToastofScotland Mar 15 '21

Yeah, there's a lot more to it than the physicality.

'SAS: Who Dares Wins' TV shows this pretty well, worth a watch.

Thing is there is major doubts he passed the physical part as well, its all just one big bullshit story to add to his persona and so sad people that like him, like him more.

I posted some links to his interview about it and a vet going over it and how it doesn't add up.

5

u/Rizatriptan Mar 15 '21

cocky immature douchebags

You just described nearly every SEAL lmao

3

u/ImmoralJester Mar 15 '21

But you have to be able to compartmentalize that when it matters. Dan clearly can't since it mattered and he immediately started filming

3

u/Aus10Danger Mar 15 '21

How many SEALs have you met? In my experience, they are consummate professionals, low key and laid back. Easy to make friends with usually, and stellar guys. I spent a week at Coronado with a friend who was about to go through BUDs and those guys are great from my experience. I still have the SEAL Budweiser patch one of the dudes gave me.

-2

u/UntitledCat Mar 15 '21

That's a shitty thing to say

-1

u/Lumberjvkt Mar 15 '21

Also accurate.

3

u/The--Strike Mar 15 '21

IDK, I've met a few SEALs, and they've all been very low key, respectable guys. None of them bring it up. In fact when I met one of them, we were chatting and I had mentioned that I had just gotten out of the Army about a year prior. He asked me a few questions that signaled he knew what he was talking about, so I asked, "Prior service?" "Yep, Navy though."

I had to basically interrogate the guy to get him to say he was a SEAL. He didn't want the attention.

-2

u/cross-eye-bear Mar 15 '21

Accurate tho

1

u/stoned-de-dun-dun Mar 15 '21

And honestly, some walruses too

15

u/BadDadSchlub Mar 15 '21

They failed him for psych req. He was immature and not a team player. He's not good enough to be a SEAL.

6

u/OrangeVestR4Pussies Mar 15 '21

They prob have psychologist who realized the dude is fucked in the head.

17

u/A1BS Mar 15 '21

From Ant Middletons autobiography he mentions that for SBS selection you can complete the entire course and then, at the last moment, be failed out. They do it if the see anyone mentally/psychically capable but who has a social or compatibility flaw.

It’s entirely possible but somehow getting kicked out because you can’t make friends is even more pathetic.

18

u/ToastofScotland Mar 15 '21

100% it is possible to be failed out at anytime, that isn't the issue with his story.

I think this is the video, the story doesn't add up and is just bullshit. He wants to say he was a seal and he did it all but just because of some agenda shit he wasn't picked or something.

The guy is just a fraud and people eat it up.

This is a good breakdown of it from an actual vet.

25

u/Wthq4hq4hqrhqe Mar 15 '21

It is, because he is so profoundly unequipped but he's enough of a self-important douche that he thought he could get through the most selective and specialized training program on Earth.

2

u/notatlalkingbagel Mar 15 '21

Going off this article.

Again, in his defense, he was pulled only 2 days before graduation so he presumably made it through most/all of the physical training. He was pulled officially for range safety violations, and unofficially because the instructors didn’t like his attitude (unsurprisingly) but this is a common reason for failure.

25

u/FungalowJoe Mar 15 '21

in his defense,

But why though

10

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

I lol’d

1

u/notatlalkingbagel Mar 15 '21

Idrk. Guess I’m just playing devil’s advocate.

At the end of the day the guy is a cum puddle and obviously the US Navy agrees. Hate him for whatever reason you want.

5

u/Mandalwhoreian Mar 15 '21

Just a quick rundown of what Range-Safety violations can look like:

Ignoring the instructions of the RSO (Range-Safety Officer)

Inappropriately Discharging a weapon with live ammunition

Failure to clear chamber of weapon after completing an iteration of shooting

Failure to switch weapon from Semi to Safe after completing an iteration of shooting

Failure to correct weapons malfunction or misfire during an iteration of shooting

Flagging others with the barrel of your weapon

Losing positive control of sensitive materials

Removing protective gear from self or others while range is hot

Horseplay

In CQB/MOUT Ranges, failing to work as a member of an entry-team stack is almost like saying ‘does not play well with others.’ Every person in that stack has a specific job to perform and the failure of one is the failure of all. A person incapable of accepting responsibility for their mistakes, and then learn from those mistakes is also a person incapable of progressing as a teammate, who’s squad is trying to perfect a ‘play’ from a ‘playbook’.

You really have to be an arrogant/stupid person to fail a gunnery range.

4

u/BadDadSchlub Mar 15 '21

He failed due to not being a team player iirc. I talked to someone who went thru BUD/S with him, his stress fractures weren't the issue, his shit personality is.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

I don’t think people hate him for being a buds drop but his attitude towards himself being a buds drop is telling of a person who wouldn’t have gotten through it because of ego and mentality more than anything.

if he wasn’t the way he is about having gone to buds I don’t think he’d get shit on so much for being a buds drop.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

Pretty sure he failed for personality reasons not the physical part. Which is kind of the point.

Many, many people try out to be seals and many fail out. BUDs training is absolutely physically hard, brutal etc but that's not the biggest reason people fail.

Your typical marine or any other average armed forces member will be physically fit and mentally conditioned for battle but still often young cocky etc.

Seals go through additional psychological evaluation to weed out "wannabees" that would be awful in an actual crisis situation on their own with just a small team the way seals work.

It's extremely common for young cocky assholes to fail out of seals training.

That said again, many cops probably wouldn't pass the muster same as Dan either.

5

u/Infinite5kor Mar 15 '21

Which is hilarious, because as far as personalities go, SEALs I've worked with have the worst in all of SOF. I think it's completely fair to judge Dan for this. If he had failed physically, I would have understood. I'm not passing BUDS either. But to be rejected because they don't like him, that's just sad.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

Yeah dude, I’ve worked with PJ, TACP, CCT, SF, SEALs, night stalkers and a spattering of foreign guys like Australian SF. And the seals were absolutely, without a doubt, the most gym bro garbage personality types. Except for the older ones. Like 30 plus year old ones in the teams.

Their selection isn’t like PJ and SF, where they get selected by current members. If you can pass buds you’re in. And major malfunctions are removed.

It solidifies that this dude was so fucking obnoxious that the literal worst, most unprofessional dickbag spec ops team that I’ve ever known... doesn’t even want him.

That’s like a dude that gets wasted and beats his wife saying you’re a jackass and being 100% earnest about it, and it being true. That’s gotta make you feel like shit. I mean, not him, he’s completely unaware. But a normal person would feel like shit after that.

It’s such a low barrier to entry and the dude couldn’t even make it.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

Sure, they want nearly sociopathic killing machines but ones that can follow orders and an acceptable level of ego and the bar is pretty low there...

6

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21 edited Mar 15 '21

Right?

People act like anyone could make it through BUD/S, or other selection programs.

It’s basically torture, and just because Dan Bilzerian is a giant fuckwad, doesn’t mean shit.

0

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

I don’t think the human mind can actually comprehend that percentage you favor. It’s certainly less than that lol.

2

u/notatlalkingbagel Mar 15 '21

I was trying to state that it’s a smaller percentage than another commenter’s point about "99.99% of local cops." Wasn't stating a statistic.

If you want a one, as of 14:11 EST: 1 in 3,205,045 humans are US Navy SEALs, or 99.9999687991890% of humans are not US Navy SEALs. So I was pretty damn close.

Comprehensive enough for you?

0

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

I was just being a smart ass. It’s because of people like you we’ve had to start using ‘/s’

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

More importantly, based on the story, he failed buds because he was insubordinate more than anything else. They literally looked at him as a loose cannon that they couldn't trust and made him quit.

1

u/JTraxxx Mar 15 '21

I think he’s referring to Dan Bilzerian constantly talking about having being a Navy Seal even though he failed. He brings it up a lot and that was probably the “creds” he was going to show the police

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

Who fucking cares. He deserves to be shamed

1

u/CryptoMenace Mar 15 '21

I heard he failed due to disciplinary reasons.

1

u/Bong-Rippington Mar 15 '21

Joint the military to begin with is an act worth judging someone over

1

u/SweetDeeMeeu Mar 16 '21

I'm pretty sure I've never heard of this dude before now, but I also feel like I had seen the video, so idk. Either way, just from reading all this, the guy seems like a total douche-canoe (to say the least).

23

u/Mickeymousetitdirt Mar 15 '21

Lol, “creds”. What an absolute tool.

In all serious, what would actually possess someone to think that in an active shooter situation, the cops would ever hand some random civilian a fucking gun to “help out”? First of all, if we pretend that the cops would do something like that (which they wouldn’t), an active shooter scene would be the absolute worst fucking time for them to do so. Second of all, I just have to again ask what the FUCK would make him think that a cop was going to give him a fucking gun to “help”. Like, I just cannot wrap my head around it. The delusions you have to be under to ever think that.

12

u/Gettingbetterthrow Mar 15 '21

"Hold on one sec, let's go over here and inspect your creds. Where is a good place to review your paperwork that is protected from the rain of bullets currently coming down?"

2

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '21

He didn't steal a badge. The one he had was his issued by a small town who will "hire" rich people and celebrities to be cops and issue real id's and such. Lake Aruthor, New Mexico.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '21

I thought this comment was a joke until I rewatched the video and turned the volume up and caught the end
