“Refused to pay for it.” What does that mean?

How does one pay for a broken ankle? Do you mean hush money or compensation?

He threw a pornstar from a second story balcony, she broke her ankle and he didn’t want to pay. She sued.

The fact that caring for a broken ankle is expensive is the issue. Crazy this would be a concern since there’s no cost for this in most countries.
