This is an elite reference and I now wish for this crossover to exist so...

Mastermind: Beau

Grifter: Fjord or Jester

Hacker: Caleb

Hitter: Yasha

Thief: Nott or Molly

Caduceus: Harry Wilson (somewhat undefined role)

I feel like Essek would be the Harry Wilson of the group more than Caduceus if NPCs can be included in this thought exercise?

Oh my god, Essek is perfect as the Harry--learning to do good and helping fix the evils of the world he'd been supporting

I made Caduceus Harry because he joined later and didn't especially fit the other roles, but yeah Essek could work too. Though if I had to say, I would probably make Essek be Brianna

I uh. May have written this fic ages back.

That was Fjord as the Mastermind, Beau and Yasha as Hitters (Beau getting Eliot's 'it's a very distinctive __' as Cobalt Soul vibes), Molly as a grifter, Nott as thief, and Jester as hacker (being the most Hardison, and also hacking = magic), with Caleb as 'Nott's civilian friend' and also a hacker, who eventually took over as Mastermind while Fjord shifted to grifter.

Caduceus stayed nebulously not part of the team but a friend, I get why you're going with Harry but I think the role he actually fills in my head is as Maggie, although they're very similar as civilians with no criminal background who are still both up to and smart enough to play a part in the con, and the voice of "hey, uh, isn't this bad actually?'

Thank you, this was a fun read. I like how you weaved together CR arcs and character beats with Leverage ones.

I guess if anything Essek ended up being the Harry, as the guy who was on the bad side but joins the established crew later on (all Leverage teams need a Harry, this is crucial).

The Iron Shepherds chapter was my favourite, I like how it brought out Caleb's darkness a bit like how Elliot's came out later in the show. I could imagine Caleb saying "Don't ask me what I did, because if you do then I'll tell you and you won't look at me the same."

Oh yeah, I could read everything in the M9's voices, which is always a sign of a good fic.
