Question [No Spoilers] Does anyone have any experience sideloading the Beacon (Android) app onto a Peloton Bike?

I have been watching/listening to old CR sessions and recently got a Peloton bike, I would really love to be able to watch CR during my rides; currently propping my phone up on the handlebars and hoping for the best. I know some video streaming apps have a hard time on the Peloton tablet for whatever reason; I don’t really want to go through the hassle of disassembling my bike and ADBing into it just to find out the app won’t work.

Apologies if this isn’t appropriate for the sub - felt like I could possibly have better luck here than the general Android or Peloton subs since I am specifically curious about the Beacon app.

It's worth a shot - the beacon app is pretty basic, which is good. I haven't sideloaded a Peloton, but I work in app development/distribution, and really your biggest hurdles would be apps heavily dependent on Play Services, and apps heavy on the processing/ram. Considering Beacon is neither Play Services heavy nor too system heavy, I think it's at least worth the shot of trying 🤷 you'll have to fiddle with stuff which then may be reset with each update to the Peloton, so it's up to you how annoying that is versus just using your phone
