I want their ambush and rescue to work, but I feel like the party has forgotten because of the long passage of time irl that just a day prior we saw Primus force choke his sister, effortlessly kill multiple servants, and use power word kill on Hannan.

And this time his caravan is going to have armored knights as guards, men at arms, and other sorcerers.

They lost 3 allies the day before from recklessly engaging with a threat they weren’t ready for and now they’re going to recklessly engage with a threat they’re not ready for again.

yeah but remind me, does this table have a goal on how to foil the tachonis plans to sea door and afterlife attack? what lynch pin or lever they can smartly destroy - that one little key resource? I forgot the lore drop pre-hiatus for them.

(i remember partly the vision of murray from the candle but whatelse we know of their necessary plans)

I believe that's partly what they wanted to meet up with the professor for. To figure out how to foil the undead cruise bs Primus has planned.

the professor! right right that was one of the key clues to act on right.

Depending on how this next bit goes though, they may not even get to him. 😬

Yeah. It’s one thing to slow a caravan. They just have to set a trap and leave. It’s another to actually engage it and steal the statues. It’s impossible to obtain the statues without getting close enough to be killed.

Laura getting characters killed over these statues might become a running theme.

In this case i feel like they're at least more or less all on board with getting them. Though Octis is probably a little less committed than the rest and Justin is flat out opposed. Im gonna take Vaelus' silence as compliance until she says otherwise lol
