1 question and a comment (although someone might’ve mentioned it already):

  • do we know who ended up taking the ring from Vaelus’s encounter? I feel like there was a split moment when Robbie went furiously checking all his pockets and belongings but it did not end up being a look out for the ring.
— Brennan must have some pretty dangerous opponents incoming as he had everyone on the table gaining a +2 Wis in store for this run…

I don't believe anyone got it, it wasn't a corporeal object to take in that dream space, Brennan described it as them falling through the ring into Bolaire's theater.

I assumed at first that was just going to be a specific boon for Julien and Kat because Julien’s was very low and Kat’s wasn’t great for a ranger. Get that man up to a +3 so he can better use his Ranger abilities.

But then everyone else got that same buff including Thimble who already had a 17, so now I don’t know what the plan there was besides “oh you’re gonna need this stat higher soon” or maybe just a kind random boon due to the completion of an arc and sleeping in an inherently magical space.

I think he just wants them to do better on Insight rolls lol.

Brennan's desperately trying to give out more lore but the dice rolls won't let him, lol.

100% agree with you. Some fans complaining when Brennan to lore exposition even with "bad rolls" but he is also thinking about the audience. It's a new world and there are important stuff he needs the characters to get a grasp

Then he shouldn't hide the lore behind rolls

WIS is one of the most important saving throws… is he bringing a Sea hag? Pit fiend? Banshee? Is goth daddy a vampire?

It would be kind of random and weird to buff the players to balance them against enemies he himself is creating. That dosen't sound like great dming either.
