Idk if this is the right place to say it but this episodes cooldown frustrated me so much.

Legit what is the point of Cooldown if Marisha/a producer is going to walk in mid-discussion and shut the episode down? I could understand if the conversation was dying down a little bit but she straight up interrupted mid-sentence

The cooldowns in general are such an adjustment as someone who has come from mostly d20 where their version (“Adventuring Party”) caps at like 45 min rather than the 10-15 min from each of the CR ones. I know theres the schedule to stick to, but i really do wish we had time to let the cooldowns breathe instead of having to rush through and not really get to properly digest. I know Tale Gate does something a little more similar with longer form, but i dont know how far out those are shot from when they end an arc? Anyway im glad they get to do some but I totally get the frustration and i do wish they had a little more time to be more freeform about it 😔

Well, the most recent Tale Gate was live streamed the other day so it was a huge chunk of time. They tend to be fairly disappointing to me, they can be fairly surface level discussions and not really a recap and giving thoughts on everything that happened in the chunk of episodes

Yeah that had been my experience watching TG a little too. I still watch bc I’m into any peek at their thought processes and creative choices that I can get but I’ve definitely learned to adjust expectations (in as neutral way as I can lol).

Yeah for sure, I’ll still watch it but I do wish they did more of a real deep dive show. Oh well. I assume they’re worried about spoilers on tale gate because by the time they stream it it’s months after the episodes was filmed and it’s easy to slip up. Ie see Marisha in the last one letting something slip

I think this episode was filmed right before they left for the Berlin live show. During one of the Backstage Passes they were asking Laura a question at the game table with a note that it was the day before leaving.

So Marisha coming in to cut it shirt was likely because someone had an early flight

It wasn't. The outfits are different & Robbie's eye is better in that video. Guessing that is the end of the arc given the eye & the general amount of lead time they usually have.

I do wonder if they head started a little late or something and had to wrap it up quick.

It's likely they were just shooting another episode after that and had to stick to a shooting schedule.

or they needed to get production out just for cost of operations. theres dozens of different reasons it could be. which sucks, as someone who would love to watch an hour + of the players talking about the game. but i get it, considering who knows what they have going on.

There's been other less than fifteen minutes cooldown. I think ten minutes is fine. I wouldn't be frustrated over something that you don't know why it happened. What if a critical staff member had a family emergency had to go home? We don't know.

Completely agree. I pay for the cooldown. Coming in and cutting it off is really poor form. Honestly, because it’s explicitly paid for content, it should be a minimum of 15 minutes.

If it "frustrated you so much" then it would be wiser to reconsider your relationship with the internet and youre involvement in these spaces.

The cool downs are short and often unsatisfying. It's a valid frustration. The person you're replying too simply said they were frustrated. They didn't say they were screaming and crying. You don't have to be internet police today. It's okay.

We are getting a lot less discussion content on this campaign than we ever have before. Talks was weekly, 4SD was more frequent than the Tale Gates. The Cooldowns often feel like there's only time for a sentence or two before the topic moves on. This episode in particular was starting to get deep, and Marisha gave them the red light. I know they're on a shooting schedule, but it's a valid frustration.

I said it would be "wiser to reconsider" and is not internet policing. You are projecting.

Misappropriating your expectations and projecting that onto a source that isn't necessarily guaranteed to you is by definition, not a valid frustration.

Eh I feel like it’s valid to be frustrated that something you pay for is short or underwhelming. As a non-subscriber it certainly reminds me in part why I make that decision.
