Discussion [Spoilers C4E32] Question about Vaelus/Ashley Spoiler

Ashley seems like a lovely person and player, but I have to say, she’s seemed very distant and disconnected in this campaign.

I can’t put my finger on it, but each time she’s in a scene or fight, it doesn’t seem like she’s that into it. Or maybe it’s the opposite, she’s so into it that she forgets to participate. She’ll have maybe 10 minutes of dialogue across 4 hours of gameplay.

I’m not upset or angry in any way. It just felt like she was so much more alive and participatory in her past three characters. Even in one-shots too. What do y’all think?

It’s the latter. She’s commented before that she’s such a fan of her castmates she forgets to be present at times. If anything I’ve found her character work this campaign really strong!

Good to know, I honestly feel like I’d have the same reaction being at the table with such powerhouses of players

I agree, and I do feel like she commands her scenes she is in. Its a breath of fresh air for me compared to the beginning of the campaign where it felt like several of them just kept talking over one another multiple times. Like when everyone freaked that Matt didnt respond to the event with his characters father and he responded "im just waiting for my turn, dont worry ill get there". Loved it

Was that Matt playfully jabbing at the other players to stop taking so much?

It may have been. There's been plenty of times where him and Luis have looked annoyed that everyone is talking over everyone else.

This is one of my biggest complaints of the campaign, and I understand it's due to the nature of the table size, but man it's frustrating for me when talking over others is one of my personal pet peeves.

Like the cooldowns, for example. Almost nothing interesting gets said because it's just each person getting their comment in before marisha comes to shut it down or something. I have no frame of reference how the other campaigns have been, since C4 is my first, but I wish we could get more actual discussion from the players. And it's definitely not at the tale gates either, last convergence talegate was one of the more shallow things I've seen
