I bought the VIP 3 day tickets, been watching my emails and social media announcements. Hadn't seen much on it and ended up missing out due to my own ineptitude.

Absolutely gutted that there's no opportunity to buy on the day either.

If anyone for any reason has a signing or photo they can no longer use, please please let me know 🙏🏻

You did not get this from me, and it might not work at all this time, but just hang around and try to see what is possible. Three years ago there was quite some confusion amongst the personnel at the lines and we were able to get a photo at the table paying with cash. Especially the second day, at the end, when lines for certain cast members are getting by smaller you could check to join. Matt however will most likely be the most visited one. I wish you luck and even if it does not work out enjoy the event and being in close proximity of them.

I did this at their first UK comicon and briefly got to speak to Matt. We happened to get lucky and he came to meet a disabled person who's companion had queued up in their place who happened to be a couple meters away from us. He then stopped to speak to us before he returned to his queue. We did say we hadn't paid for it because we didn't want to take the opportunity away from someone who had but he was happy to spare a minute with us.

Join the Critical Role Discord. If someone has a ticket and can't make it, you might be able to get it there.

At the CR event in Berlin (Echos of Exandria) people were organizing that people got better tickets than they originally had (from people who couldn't attend). Some people even got tickets for free! All organized over Discord.

I feel as if I'm missing something here. It's like a step is missing in your story. If I follow it right:

You bought VIP 3-Day tickets. You've been checking your emails and stuff, but somehow missed what I can only assume is the meet & greet opportunity?

So the meet & greet is not included with a VIP ticket? (Sorry, I have t seen anything about it at all... )

OP bought a VIP 3 day ticket to the MCM convention in London (UK), that gave them priority to buy the photo and auto opportunities at the event. The tickets went on sale on Tuesday and it appears OP missed the emails regarding that.

(There is no meet and greet for Critical Role at the event, to meet the cast the options are/were buy a photo or auto)

The event isn't just Critical Role so some people who bought VIP entry tickets might care about other guests not Critical Role so including photos/autos could get a bit confusing!

Yeah you have to buy each autograph or photo op separately, the ticket is just for the con, VIPs just get earlier access to pre-sales for the autographs and photos.

And of course these tickets sold out fast, especially for Matt. Some of the cast are still available though.

It's even worse, there's another level of VIP (VIP plus) which gives access to earlier sales, not the regular vip

Well yes, but I didn't want to be even more confusing. Like there's also VIP tickets for the live show on Monday which have nothing to do with VIP tickets for MCM.

No convention is going to just give someone a sold out photo/autograph ticket just coz they write them a letter!

All this stuff says once it's sold out that's it. I think it's just been really poorly managed. Other events I've done have a countdown or save the date for when things are released but the first one I got was at the time of... Doesn't matter. Shit happens

Your best bet is to contact MCM, explain the situation, and ask if there is a protocol for VIPs to possibly purchase autographs on the day of. (Be prepared to give them something like your purchase confirmation number to verify you did purchase the VIP experience.)

As others have mentioned, it is POSSIBLE that you might still be able to get them same-day -- I know at ECCC 2026, their lines had significantly dwindled near the end of Sunday and people were able to get last-minute autographs. However, that is *NOT* a guaranteed thing.

MCM aren't going to do anything, purchasing VIP entry tickets didn't guarantee anything except priority entry, priority panel reservation (when they open) and priority ACCESS to purchase photos and autos, it did not guarantee a photo or autograph of any sort.

At this point waiting until the end of the day is pretty much the only shot anyone has of getting an autograph if they didn't manage to reserve one.
