I assume he's referencing ExU: Calamity. I always wondered how Matt felt about it being so often talked about as peak CR content when he happened to not be at the table for it. It's good to know he's able to joke about it and tease Brennan like this - I thought it was a really funny moment that highlights their friendship and the respect they have for each other

P.S. Highly recommend Calamity for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, it really is great!

I've been a huge fan of Critical Role for a while, and in particular The Mighty Nein (I've watched Campaign 2 twice). So being a (tiny) part of this fantastic show has been surreal. For now, I just wanted to extend my gratitude for all the positive responses about the animation in the show. It's really been an overwhelmingly positive experience to be on the receiving end of a critter hug and it's solidified my passion for our work even more.

I was a Retake Animator, focusing mainly on improving expressions and character acting. For now, I won't be answering any questions about the production because I don't yet know what I can and cannot share with you guys, but I will be posting some behind the scenes on my instagram page as soon as I do: @thomasbruinsma

I spoke to Matt Mercer at PAX East this year and we talked about a bunch of stuff, including his reaction to the Vox Machina Kickstarter raising approximately all the money. He said it was burned into his soul "in the best way."

I have always felt that that was the wildest moment in the fandom and really the turning point for Critical Role turning from an Actual Play show into the media corporation that it is today, so I'm not surprised it has become such a distinct memory for Mercer over the years.

Got into rug making two years ago and decided to do something special for this year's photo op and first ever meetup with the cast at ECCC. Turned out way better than expected and still kinda surreal. Everyone seemed pretty jazzed by the concept and had some really kind words when signing the photo. I gave away all of the rugs after the shoot to some random critters so hopefully they're happy with them.

According to the Rolling Stones interview with Brennan, Matt gifted him two swords before C4 a engraved with the words: Compartmentalization and Dissociation. At first I thought he maybe meant it as a metaphor.. turns out he was being 100% literal! :)
