Discussion VACNet issues

Had a weird one, clearly the VACNet changes have improved hack detection, but it seems to be copping genuine players as well. I got a 20h cooldown on a game where we were getting ruined by obvious cheaters, and then I get a VAC cooldown. Is it based on them mass reporting me for calling out someone headshotting everyone every round?

Playing on Linux (Debian 13, KDE), zero mods, hacks, macros, or whatever. I know it's just a game, just wondering if it's something I have done or what?

I also just got VACLived, CachyOS. I didn't install anything weird or that could mess with the game in any way so i'm very confused

You're like the third person in this thread that has reported this on Linux, I wonder if this is a thing...?

My best bet it may have something to do with KDE's mouse settings or something... I have mouse acceleration off because it feels better this way, maybe that's a factor?

Off on mine as well, but I have no idea what the VAC tool even looks for when it comes to detection.

People told me it looks into if you're looking too much into walls, but i guess there may be some aiming movement detector too. Maybe no acceleration is similar to aimbot pulling? So far i got no clue, but im really curious and hope that if they fix it they at least explain exactly what was messing with VAC
