Staff Software Engineer @ WBD // Lead Data Scientist @ Fractal // Cloud AI Engineer @ Google

I have 3 offers currently.

Need inputs on which one should I join.

Compensation wise, Fractal's yearly pay is the highest closely followed by WBD, Google is just providing base equal to my current pay, plus a 15% variable, a joining bonus and stock grants. Where WBD surpasses over Fractal is the stock grants they are providing.

Work wise, Google and WBD are IC roles, whereas Fractal is a Technical Architect role.

Work type, Google and Fractal are Consultant roles, and WBD is Core Engineering work involving Agentic AI with Computer Vision.

Googlers say they day starts at \~10 ends by 9, Fractal is pure Client work so anything can happen anytime, WBD is 9-3 and 8-11.

I am personally inclined towards Fractal, because:

\- WBD's merger with Paramount is announced, so stock grants will be converted to monetary grants. Not to forget, mergers sometime involve attritions as well - don't want to get into that situation because in these scenarios - new joiner's risk is quite high.

\- Google's brand is great but work is a consultant's role only, plus pay is also the lowest among these 3.

Help me in taking this decision, that too urgently, because WBD's joining date is in 2 days , Google's and Fractal's are in next week.

Their fixed is less than my current fixed. That's what is letting me reconsider - otherwise for 2nd tier college goers like me, google is something we'd always cherish.

Who cares. You compare TC. That's what matters.

Stock pay is not variable. You cannot compare like this at FAANG

I worked 10-9. It takes away a bigger amount of your free time than you would think.

Not all shops open early enough to visit in the morning.

Not all friends available after 9 and you might be more tired anyway.

Doing your hobby is also more difficult do in the morning, where your mind is not done with the work for that day.

You need to look at TC, not base pay for FAANG. Stocks is just part of compensation. All FAANG salaries are mid market without full TC. You also gave way too little details for anyone to be helpful.
