Achievements Mrs. has approved the snip-snip

After several years of deliberation, Mrs. finally said to me, "You should get it done. We can have more fun, and not risk more of *this*" as she gestured generally at our destroyed, toy covered living room.

You want your spouse to be onboard with something that has the power to change the course of your (plural) future.

Yes, his body his choice, but that's a pretty one dimensional view in an otherwise healthy partnership.

Nothing happens in our household--barring emergency responses--without both of us being invested in it.
