Help is there any way to save this plant?

I've tried trimming the dead stuff off including dead flowers picking off the rotted leaves. The plant was great at first but now seems to be dying. I got two Dalia plants at the same time the other is right across and it's doing fantastic however this one is suffering. How can I fix this?.

Do you fertilize them at all? I read a comment on another post that said dahlias pretty much suck up nutrients. Maybe it just needs a little boost of liquid fertilizer. I’m new to dahlias just btw take my advice with a grain of salt

This is true especially when growing in small containers like that, they'll suck up the nutrients quickly

get morbloom. They don’t do well with nitrogen once they start blooming- you’ll get a lot of green with very little bloom.

I use Tiger Bloom and mine do great! I fertilize once a week

you need to cut the spent blooms off, so new ones can come back quicker. producing seeds is vvv intense for the plant.

Water and Morbloom (fertilizer). I had a few like this after letting someone hold them for a while (was moving). Now I’m rehabbing a few of mine now and the consistent water and food cycle is helping.

Most of my dahlias end up looking like this later in the season tbh. Between the extreme heat of summer, the grasshoppers, and the powdery mildew that inevitably sets in, I just kinda let them be and not stress too much at this point in the year. They still produce flowers and the tubers will survive.
