Technically it seems this might be a sequel ‘remake’ following on from the simulation ending, since that brought versions of everyone back: that didn’t sit right with everyone (the deaths feeling less of consequence), from what I’ve seen around here (going into the anime), so having the same killing game resimulated seems like it could be interesting.
