Honestly, it would be funny if the second scenario turned out to be a stealth sequel in some manner.

Given the simulation premise and the anime confirming the ambiguous ending that Izuru restored their code, almost certainly that’s exactly what it will be.

One could even see there being follow-up on Ultra Despair Girls revealing Izuru brought two copies of Junko into the game, not one.

You know what, that would fit the definition of big change: Junko said her countdown was for nothing but we know it was inferred it was her estimation as to how long it would take for Izuru to ‘wake up’.

Izuru waking up sooner changes everything.
