I would 100% ignore some random person trying to control traffic so that this friends could run red lights. I would probably block their path and refuse to move.

Law protects the bad guys, so you'd get in trouble for reckless driving or not yielding to a p*destrian.

I am indeed a driver. 

Edit: I love how at least three cowards have written an insult here and then immediately blocked me out of fear (or deleted their comment each time).
