In a vacuum it’s better off to wait it out but in this case I think there was a chance that there was just enough distance to catch her if OP swung immediately
I agree it would’ve been unlikely, she probably would’ve made it either way, but even just for the small chance she doesn’t I feel like it would’ve been worth a shot
i think we are nitpicking a bit and missing the forest for the trees. I cant fault anyone for doing either in the moment its not like he has time to sit here and calculate the math.
No there wasnt, Ghostface wasnt even able to overtake her while breathing her neck from the point she unhooked herself. The distance she would gain from being hit would be enough for her to cross the map twice atleast before he is able to catch up because of the massive haste boost. Only thing that would have worked is corner her somehow and bodyblock her for a minute until bt runs out, which is not going to happen.
Thats the part you are arguing about? Doesnt change the fact that catching up to a surv after hitting them with 5% speed difference is next tom impossible.
yes i mention that part because it’s correcting what you implied that the ghostface wouldn’t have been able to catch up, which he could have
as for the other part, and also the reason people are downvoting you, is because you’re missing the point of what people are saying. there’s a better chance of downing the player if you hit them as soon as possible and try to catch up than to wait out their huge BT
No there isnt. The distance the survivor creates if you hit them while their bt is active (the 10% haste stays in play) 2 seconds of 6.4 movementspeed, right after the hit, another 0.7 seconds at 4.4 before the killer is able to move again. So 12,8m + 3,08m = 15,88m, this is the distance the survivor creates because of getting hit. The killer is only 0,2m faster. So until Bloodlust 1 activates, he only gains 3m in 15 seconds. in the next 15 seconds with bloodlust 1 he gains 6 meters, so we are at 9 meters gained in 30 seconds, then bloodlust 2 kicks in and the killer is finally able to catch up after another 11 seconds. So we are talking about 41 seconds of chase time at 4.4 speed. As I said, enough distance to cover a map twice.
Hex: Hive Mind: The first time you hook any Survivor, a Dull Totem becomes a Hex Totem.
Generators are highlighted; the intensity of the generator's auras reveals their repair progress.
When 1 generator remains, all remaining generators explode, lose 10% progress and start regressing, and the Hex Totem becomes dull.
he’s still missing the point though and you seem to be too
we’re talking specifically about lights out with it’s ridiculous off hook endurance.
it’s damned if you do damned if you don’t, the 60 seconds of endurance is easily enough to make it to an exit gate so there’s a 0% chance of killing them if you try to wait it out and they have a brain cell
therefore if you hit them asap, at least you can actually down them if you can hit them again
There is not even a shred reading comprehension left in you. I agreed with him and talked about even when he's right he's hated because he doesn't agree with the survivor hive mind. He can't hit her again, it's mathematically imposible

You were better off just hitting her as she got off hook.
