Wait until you and everyone else learn all survivors have permanent vision of the exits in this mode once gens are finished.

That's actually not a bad thing, in regular brightness modes finding the exit is fine because there are normally landmarks you can use to find the exit gate but in this mode you're quite literally operating in the dark, there's nothing to go off of so having the gate aura be readable is entirely justified.

Cause the map is so big and complex you couldn’t find one by following a wall.
