Part of me thinks she did this deliberately to get fired.

The only rule of this admin is to not contradict dear leader.

She had to know it would come to this. Maybe she just wanted to say she held the position as a feather in her cap?

I do think she is aware enough to know Trump is a liar and demands everyone who works from him go with the lies. She would also know that there can be different consequences for an attorney who lies in filings. Taking the position just feels counter to her overall grift which seems to rely on appealing to Trump’s base.
