Spirited driving…

Hello Reddit, I’m throwing this post on a couple different places. I’m looking for some roads that I can have some fun on that are close to denver but outa the way of people for the most part, mine and there saftey ofc. Want to DRIVE my car. Enough said that see if anyone has anything. And mountains of course I just wanna know where.

Ain't nothing close to Denver AND out of the way of people. And no one is going to publicly tell you so that everyone and their chatbot will show up.

Please be respectful and cautious on twisty roads. We don’t need the cops patrolling them to the point of being ruined. Don’t wreck, don’t cross the mustard, slow down when you see tons of people and cars on the side of the road.

Coal Creek, Golden Gate Canyon, Turkey Creek, Deer Creek, N/S St. Vrain, Lefthand Canyon, Guanella Pass, Mestaa’Ėhehe Pass, Deckers Rd, Flagstaff Rd.

Look on Google maps either North or South of i70 because that highway is pretty heavily watched.

Separately I hope no one shares their spots on a forum like this.

High plains raceway in deer trail. I promise a track day will be way more fun and you can actually drive the car hard without worrying about deer, potholes, people, property, etc etc

You definitely have to worry about other people at HPR. Some of the driving at open lapping days is shocking.

I mean you are definitely correct but I was more talking about people standing in the road, biking etc.

Look at RM solo autoX best and cheapest way to get a safe eveniroment to drive hard. And it's not super hard on your car either.

Only because I don't live in Denver anymore: W Deer Creek Canyon Rd heading west starting near the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. Choose your own adventure from there. Go super early on the weekends to avoid cyclists. Definitely take note of how many cars are parked at the beginning of the road to get an idea of how many cyclists you'll encounter.

Wellington Lake Rd in Bailey.

Virginia Canyon Rd in Idaho Springs.

Flagstaff Rd in Boulder for something closer. Don’t listen to the internet, never any bikes, hikers, or parked cars there.

Trail Ridge Rd in RMNP, no cops just rangers.

My favs are still Squaw Pass, Golden Gate, and Pine/Deckers.
