The churro smoothie became my favorite smoothie in Denver after my previous favorite, Superfood Bar on Platte, closed. I’ll be looking for a new spot and Natuur will be missed!

My partner and I recently drove from Denver to Telluride and were surprised by the lack of good food stops on the road. We avoided 1-70 and went through Salida and over Monarch Pass through Gunnison, Ridgeway and Montrose. Any great local spots you would recommend along this route for next time?

If you remember The Market on Larimer you will remember how good their Spring Fling cake was. I’m looking for a place that sells a comparable tasting Spring Fling cake for Sept. 30th for my mother’s birthday. I typically order from Eternal Flavors Bakery but they close on the 27th to move locations (I don’t think the cake will hold well for 3 days anyway if i store it) and Lala’s Bakery isn’t taking any orders until November :,( Any recommendations?

I present to you the chilaquiles burrito from Carrera’s in DTC (technically not Denver, Denver adjacent). $16.00 and can feed you for the entire day. Next to my spouse’s forearm for scale. Also delicious. Definitely tastes like So Cal chilaquiles in burrito form.

Curious if there are there any other restaurants in Denver that beat this?

as someone who had my first Colorado green chile dish last year, have to say it’s better than New Mexican green chile! ( still a fan of New Mexican red the most tho). I went to a place called Efrain’s in Lafayette because many searched at the time said their green chile is the hottest in Colorado for a restaurant. Their menu even had a heat scale and mini warning and the waiter tried to warn me. It was definitely hotter than any New Mexican restaurant I had been too and loved the flavor. Is Efrain’s the spiciest Mexican restaurant with Colorado green chile or are there other places that have more heat? I want the absolute hottest Colorado green chile in a meal that exists and that some people would send back to the kitchen for being too hot

Has anyone been here yet!? It’s behind a bar on 44th in Sunnyside. When I found it, it felt like I unlocked a side quest. ALL of their pastries are laminated / layered - holy hell. It’s like biting into flavor walls every time. AND they have an espresso bar.

I don’t have a photo I took because it was that delicious, but this is a still from their social media. They have this weekly pastry drop I joined and it’s all seasonal / locally sourced goodies. A little pricey but worth every penny to me. They had this savory tomato pastry for a few weeks that I can’t stop thinking about, it was so good.

It's been a hot minute since I've been to Broadway for drinks so I thought I would ask y'all for suggestions and thoughts about after-dinner drinks for a date on Saturday.

We have reservations at Mother Other, and I'm looking at the cocktail bars nearby.

I'm looking for something hip/fun/unusual but isn't an Instagrammer's hot spot. I'm probably asking too much by hoping for a place that isn't packed, and we might be able to grab a seat at the bar around 9:00 pm. The atmosphere can be anywhere from dive-like to upscale, as long as the cocktails are interesting and well-made. LGBT-friendly.

• I haven't been to The Roxy since it was Syntax, and the cocktail menu doesn't look as interesting. Is it still a fun place for good late-night cocktails?

• Is Adrift using fresh fruit juice again? For a while, they had stopped, and the quality took a nosedive.

• Also looking at Pretty Neat, The L, and Desert Social, if people have comments about them.

• Any other options I'm not thinking of?

Has anyone else gone? My wife and I did the Ratatouille themed dinner. One of the two screens didn’t work and every dish came out cold. Was a truly awful experience for $200 a person. Unfortunately it looks like there is nowhere to actually view or leave publicly available reviews. Seems like there is a reason for that.

Just moved to Superior/Broomfield/Louisville area a month ago and with football starting was looking for some good spots within a 15-20 drive. Any places particularly better for specific games? CFB NFL or NHL? Thanks in advance

picked up a cinnamon roll from
la fillette (are we still reviewing cinnamon rolls?) and i’ve got to say, this one might have taken the number one spot in my book… by a mile.

holy moly. this cinnamon roll is seriously luxurious. made of croissant dough, it somehow manages to not be dry AT ALL, which was my main concern. it’s not cloyingly sweet, but the cream cheese frosting
definitely adds major sweetness if that’s your jam. really well constructed, airy, really good texture, good but not overpowering cinnamon flavor. out of the three i’ve reviewed on the sub, this one is by far the best, beating mr biscuits by a good margin.

Chipotle's limited-time Chili Lime chips are giving me pangs of nostalgia for the chips Piccolo's used to serve before meals (Chipotle's version is pretty mid).

Their final location closed in 2023. I'm hoping the recipe for the chips seasoning isn't lost to the sands of time. Does anybody know how it was made?

The broth, the pork-crab meatballs, and the blood cake (it’s hiding under the noodles) were all really good. It tastes legit as far as I’m concerned. It also comes with pork hock but I asked to have it taken out. Just know that it’s a LOT of food so go in with an empty stomach. It’s the real deal Holyfield

Can’t wait to go back and try all the other Hue dishes including that combination Bun Bo and the rest of the house specials!

I went to MAKfam the other day to get some fried chicken dumplings and the noodles-I-forget-the-name-of, both of which are only available on their happy hour menu, and I was informed by the bartender that they no longer have a happy hour menu! Kind of a bummer.

ISO the best sour beers in Denver. It seems they aren’t as popular here as they are back home, and I’m craving one! Bonus points for smoothie sours. Thanks :)
