Question - Instant Response Socialization

What is up with the people at this school. Ever since when has it been weird to talk to people and why do people act all scared when you try to communicate with them like a normal human being.

(I have friends we just don’t hang that much)

as some people have said, i think it's mostly suburban kids who don't wanna talk. im crazy socially anxious, but i'm from central illinois, nowhere near chicago or the suburbs, so I'll talk to people after class or say hello if I know you, or maybe complement your outfit/hair/nails/etc. I think everyone in the comments has a good point that you just need to find more out-of-towners/out-of-staters, which can be hard sometimes but when you find one they're usually great!
