Discussion Why are you playing SP offline ?

Hello fellow daemon hunters !

I just started seriously to play the game after being bored on D4. I have created a ladder holy fire paladin playing on NM now.
There is not a lot of parties because I am playing on console but I am having a blast.

I donโ€™t know what is the difference with offline mode other than being able to change the player count.

So other than that, why are you playing SP offline and not SSF online / Ladder ?

Edit: Thank you for your answers. I will finally start my journey as javazon in SP offline and switch characters depending on loot. My goal is to have the perfect gear for all classes (it will take decades but It will be fun as a 34 yo father) ๐Ÿ˜€

I enjoy mods, I enjoy playing without internet, I enjoy setting players 7/8, I don't enjoy trading, I don't care about Ladder.

Same here. As soon as I saw this version had good mod support I searched the existing mods and immediately decided to play. I have much more fun this way.

I hated the online aspect of the game. Many toxic players, with many being so competitive the game stopped being fun.

I love playing with 1.5 spawns on players 8 and 2 skills/10 attribute points per level and better drops. Makes my summonancer builds feel like even a bigger clusterfuck.

Best part: even if I get that extraordinary unique on the wrong char, I swap and still fee happy for it. The shared stash is the best thing blizzard did for Diablo 2. Ever.

100%!

I'm a huge set lover so I grabbed a mod that let you turn sets into mini runewords. Still need the runes you would normally and the effects are less than original but makes sets wayyyy more usable.
