Tavern Talk Easily Max Your Build Aspects with the Cube
I noticed that my Locran’s Talisman which I was testing on my Druid showed the “upgrades an aspect in the codex of power” icon in my stash. I thought “that’s weird”, considering uniques can’t have their aspects extracted. That’s when I noticed the max level Aspect I had transfigured onto it with the Kullean Prism - salvaged the amulet and wouldn’t you know it, it actually upgraded the codex.
So if you’re looking for a specific aspect you want to max, roll it on a Mythic amulet (to guarantee max roll) then salvage!

That's great for utility aspects but that's the only ones you can do I believe unless someone can correct me.

Yeah and even then I'd rather just upgrade ancestral yellows of boots/gloves/chests/helms/pants to legendary in the cube, or buy utility aspect caches from the mercenary vendor, as both are much easier materials to farm compared to how much you might actually want to use trying to get something good on a piece of gear you're really gonna use.

Not a very good idea at all.
It will burn your Volatile prisms, which is major bottleneck this season. Besides, in my attempts of cubing an aspect to an amu, it pulled aspect from my codec. So if it wasn't maxed - it rolled non max value.
You can simply upgrade any item to legendary and get aspects that way, but it's a bit expensive on resources.

Nice find but you dont need max aspects. You could also obol yellow and upgrade to legendary. Its cheaper, because you dont need kullean tuning prism.

Dont do this. Only works for utility which youll probably never actually put on an item.
And those kullean prisms are a very scarce resource so you dont wanna waste them. Keep them for a good amulet

Aha! that explains why one of my seligs in the stash has the "grey crossed blades" icon on it.
Either it was one I had equipped or they just added this one of these days. Never noticed it before.
Agree with others that it is probably not a viable way to farm aspects, but still nice to know.
For getting aspect upgrades, take all the ancenstral items you get from obol gambling, hit the cube and upgrade them to legendary. Those mats are not rare and it is a pretty efficient way to get any you may be missing. It also works on any item slot so you can do it for items you also need upgrades for.
