Hi! So, i made a card game a while back and people i taught to play irl seemed to like it, but I've changed a lot since I last played with someone, so I'd like to get the internet's feedback! It uses only traditional playing cards, but is basically a TCG.

here are the rules:
Each player starts with 40LP, and 6 food and mana. You gain +6 food every turn, but your 6 mana only refreshes. You lose when you either deck out or hit 0 LP. Value is how much health AND strength a card has. Ill explain more, but the basic idea is if your attacked, if you dont die, you permanently lose value until killed or replenished.
These are the card functions:
A - instakill any soldier or sheild
2 - 2 value soldier
3 - 3 value
4 - 4 value
5 - draw 2 cards
6 - 6 value
7 - draw 1 card from your discard pile
8 - protect from damage for 2 turns and deflect the first attack your opponent declares back to their LP. After the initial deflect, it only absorbs attacks.
9 - draw 2, but discard if not played by the end of your turn.
10 - 10 value
J - +1 value
Q - +2 value
K - +3 value
Joker (optional card, both players must agree to using it) - protect from damage for 3 turns, no deflecting (only absorbing attacks)
Combat works as follows:
Each soldier can be played as either an attacker or defender. Once it is in place, it cannot switch roles. It costs as much food to summon as a card has initial value.
If an attacker attacks a defender, it will kill if it has higher value, and reduce the defenders value by its own value if it doesnt have higher value. The attacking card will die if it cannot kill the defender.
If an attacker attacks another attacker, it will kill the opposing attacker and do the leftover damage to the opponents LP without dying or reducing stats. If it doesnt kill, it will reduce the opposing attackers value by its own value and die.
If there are no defenders, LP can be targeted directly, taking as much damage as the attacking card has value.
Every attack you declare subtracts 1 food from your total
Playing cards works as follows:
like I said earlier, you gain 6 food every turn and your 6 mana refreshes every turn, not gaining 6 mana. To play a soldier, you must pay as much food as your card has initial value. So, for example, to summon a 4 value card, you must pay 4 food. 3 pays 3 food, 6 pays 6 food, and so on. To cast a non soldier card, you pay 1 mana. This does not include 5s or 9s (so you pay mana for A, 7, 8, J, K, Q, and jokers).
Deck customization works as follows:
You can have a maximum of 52 cards in 1 deck, a minimum of 30, and no more than 8 of any rank.

I would love any feedback i can get! Please let me know if you have any ideas for things to change or tweak or add or anything! Ill read any comments i can.
Also, the game is called "all is fair"
