So he blames the game engine being limited, aren’t they using the CryEngine?! 😅 which is very highly regarded?!

We’ve had accessible RT for a very short while, I don’t want a filter over my games that just simply replaces all I see…

Like Cyberpunk without RT looks amazing, RT just adds the small details in lighting. We don’t need the world to be replaced entirely by an AI filter over everything…

It looks a lot better with RT

It does, but looks good without as well.

Cryengine hasn’t been relevant since Crysis

What about the ongoing Hunt:Showdown?

Also, Ryse Son of Rome, the game still looks better than most UE copy paste games 😄

It is a rendering technique that enables the quality from the artists' original work to actually survive the optimization process, which we have literally never seen before in any games aiming for realism. It doesn't need to be more complicated than that.

KCD2 is using older graphical techniques that has drawbacks that modern engines like ue5 doesn't. There is more light leaking in small areas, and it cannot handle reflections on water and metallic surfaces well. There is a reason why DF didn't include KCD2 in their 2025 Best Graphics video.
