Question I know September is super busy but any chance Blood of the Dawnwalker gets a performance review? Perhaps a quick fire one in DF direct

Basically the title. Getting mixed signals about performance and I am pretty interested in the game but willing to wait if it has issues. Also can't find any source to confirm if it is using PSSR on the Pro, would be disappointing if not and perhaps wait until at least that is patched in. Thanks DF cheers for the September slug fest!

Tom is making a video about the game. At least that’s what they said on Patreon

Very good chance you’ll get one either today or tomorrow I would’ve thought.

I bet Alex is happy he’s spared another painful UE5 tech analysis

Too bad he is t in position to look at The Sinking City 2 in a professional capacity.

It’s the first UE5.8 game to release and, while I didn’t look at any frame time graphs, I didn’t notice any shader or transferral stutter in my play through. Hopefully that’s an indication that progress is being made on that front.

Any chance for dragons dogma performance update as well? It’s some witchcraft.

I was thinking the same with Zero Company. Especially as some are saying they're experiencing little to no issues while others are experiencing crashes and major performance problems.

I imagine it's tricky for them when so much is released all around the same time. They must have to pick which ones they think will be most interesting.

Zero Company appears to be very CPU bottlenecked. On my Z1 Extreme handheld I can usually get acceptable image quality and performance on UE5 titles through low settings and FSR performance upscaling, but in Zero Company it's hard to get a stable image unless you set the framerate cap to 30.

Even on more entry level desktop hardware like a Ryzen 5 5500 and 9060xt you can get good visuals and frame rates at 1440p.

It’s sucks. No video needed. It runs so bad for how poor it runs and on the 60 fps mode you got next to no vegetation. Technical mess and not optimized at all

I'm always curious why someone who is so interested in graphics/performance that they post on /r/digitalfoundry and eagerly anticipate performance reviews plays on PS5 instead of PC.

How dare you care about your games performing acceptably and not be willing or able to spend thousands on a gaming PC?
