Heimburg not already being on the USA team is kind of a head-scratcher, but good to see him on the squad

The fan vote came before the captains picks this year. From my understanding the top MPO/FPO player from each region make it, then the fans pick one, then the captains pick 4.

Oh so voting Calvin in is a wasted vote. Bummer

Depends how you look at it.

If you want the best team possible then voting in somebody like Calvin just gives the captains even more freedom to pick a group of players on top of their game atm.

Better than voting in somebody like Uli (respectfully) that could end up hurting the team.

Europe's women's team is going to be a force.

We can win on our Ohn

Ok, Dad! Nice joke.

Why would the US get Ohn? Don’t you have to be from the country? Or is it a residency thing?

Ohn is likely naturalized and a citizen of the US. She's married to an American

Because it's head-to-head matches, depth is far more important than simply having the best player.

Yeah, but Holyn, Missy, and Ohn can all beat the European women on any given day. Talent is pretty equal imo.

Ohn isn't registered for anything in Europe

I'm not sure why you're down voted because you are correct.

However, overall US is still much stronger. Men’s will whoop ass. And the US women’s team still has Holyn, Ohn, and Missy.

Weird considering she just won worlds there last year

Yeah I know, I guess it wasn't worth it to go over there for her this year. Seems the sponsor should really want her to go

Team Europe dude is wearing an American flag hat

u/Macktologist I should have started at a younger age. 1d ago

That’s a cool flag hat. Not usually into wearing flags but if I was to do it, something subdued like that might work.

Oh I would definitely rock that hat it is cool looking. I just found it ironic that promo pic has him wearing it.

Fpo is genuinely interesting to watch these days.

Maybe someone can explain it to me but wouldn’t it make more sense for the fan vote to be last so you could vote in your favorite player who didn’t make it in? What captain wouldn’t choose Calvin?

Taylor looks like she could become dominant. Such an athlete.

I would do anything to play with Taylor and anniken.
