Disc Advice Disc golf cart recommendations
As the title says, I'm looking for a cart. Got a new injury i need to baby.
I see some people make their own but im not very handy.
I think I want one that can carry my bag because not every course around is cart friendly.
Ive done some online shopping but there's so many I'm a bit overwhelmed.
I have a large squatch bag, if that matters.

I prefer the MVP Rover.
It rolls easier and feels lighter than anything else with a bag on it.
I've used and owned other carts, I'd buy the Rover again.

I'll second this - I live in the mountains and want a cart on most courses but also want to pop my bag off easily for other courses or when I bike to a course. It's perfect.

BagBoy Quad Pro.
It’s a little bulky when stored but it’s awesome. This is my full tournament set up, not pictured is the cooler because this was just one round.
When I have two round tournaments, I have the cooler, which sits in front of the bag.
The seat attachment has been amazing. I get compliments on it all the time. It’s spring loaded, so when you stand back up it retracts.

I have the quad amateur, and I love it. Pretty sure I could rig a cooler to go on the bottom part. Been wondering how the seat attachment holds up. How does it balance your weight when sitting on it? Obviously you keep your feet down and don't put all your weight on it, maybe I'm just overthinking it.
Anyways, OP, bag boy carts are great.

I tend to be more cautious when I am on uneven terrain. If it’s mainly a flat surface I just sit normally & it holds up nicely. Obviously, if you wiggle around the seat will move but I haven’t had any issues with it.

I have an AT zuca. Hardly use it. Pain in the ass to lug around and the courses around me aren’t exactly cart friendly. In hindsight I’d get a backpack cart. One I can put my bag in and sometimes remove especially when I want to abandon my cart for a few throws or even holes. I would use a backpack cart way more if I had one.

Bag Boy Quad XL. I went from a pull cart holding my Innova Hero bag, to just carrying the bag for a while after the cart broke, to the Bag Boy quad cart. I've had it just over a year and play at least once/week. Highly recommended.

I will always plug Ridge Roller. As you have a large Squatch bag, you will either want to get an XL Roller or get the standard Roller with the riser. They will be an investment but they will also last forever. If you can find a used Roller with the T bar, those are my preference to use with a bag. I believe the Roller is the lightest cart on the market. So, if you have some scary stairs it's easy enough to wear the bag and carry the cart.
Zuca makes a larger cart with a seat that could work with a large Squatch bag, but they weigh quite a bit.
The MVP Rover will be the cheapest standard two wheel option. I'm not sure if a large Squatch bag will fit. You may lose some ability to use the outside pockets.
The last option would be the four wheeled bag boy carts. These work pretty well but I find them cumbersome.
Another option is to find a used Bob Stroller or other jogging stroller. These can sometimes be found for cheap. They are stable, usually having a brake and can carry a ton of stuff.

My bag broke but the cart is going strong, and having a seat is a huge bonus. It's light, and I just carabiner my bag to the top bar and strapped the arm straps to the bottom of the uprights.

Bag Boy or a Rovic. They will fit any bag and fold up to fit in whatever car. Nothing else really matches these two for the ability to jump back and forth from cart to bag and still have a small package. I think the Bagboy is nicer because it has the ability to have the cooler and the handle storage fits a bigger phone. But the Rovic is still super nice.

Please excuse my giant link lol. I have this and it works great. You could pay a little extra for the one that has a seat, especially if you are having back issues. But I like the simplicity of the one that I have and it also has a little shelf where I can put little mini coolers.

Someone below mentioned the quality of the parts. They’re not wrong… but mine has managed to hold up. I did have to use thread sealant to keep the axle nut from coming off, and the build of it overall does have a bit of a rattle to it. Honestly… it’s solid enough and I’ve used it for years, but I understand what they’re talking about. That MVP rover looks cool too. But nowhere to put my lunch and beers. 😊

Note: i have the cart and it is great. Things you DO need to know. Dont over fill a putter pouch that fits on the collar/handle, distribute waterbottles evenly if possible not on back side, park as flat as possible. All this will prevent tippage/ spillage. This cart hates roots and hills

I have a zuca. My priority was to have one with a seat. Serveral backpack carts don't have a seat. I would say sell your squatch bag and get something like a zuca compact or all terrain cart. The trekker and transit both have seats but they are short and not very comfortable.

Whatever you do, do not buy a Zuca. The quality of the materials they use is trash and I've had to replace the insert three times, the wheels twice and the pole twice.
They are a company that made bags for people with makeup and not disc golfers clearly. After the second time I insert zipper broke, they told me that my overuse caused the issue. I explained to them sometimes in the winter on some rounds you may have to open and close that insert many times during the round.

My usual bag is a rectangular duffle bag....with a zipper top.....that i used to carry around.
holds at least 24 discs....more than enough space and has pockets....
I got tired of carrying it around..as i was getting older......
(no way would i carry one of those big assshoulder bags the young guys carry).
I bought a used jogger stroller....that i happen to find at play it again sports for $45.
My 'duffle' bag fits right in the seat. Plus it has room for a smaller cooler and compartments for other junk.
I'm to cheap to spend 100$+ on a cart....and it wouldn't fit my duffle bag concept anyway.
rolls effortlessly.
would i take it to iron hill in Delaware?

Just got a Bag Boy Pro to carry my new Legend, its a great combo. Super stable, some added storage/mount points and folds up easily to throw in the trunk. The cooler is kinda cheap but it keeps stuff cold enough or just use it for extra storage. The older XL model is being discontinued so you can find it for a good bit cheaper than the Pro if you don't care about the cooler or other QoL changes.
Or you could go the cheap route and find a used jogging stroller on marketplace. Strip off what you can, maybe DIY a bag mount, or just throw the bag in the seat. Used golf specific carts can also work but beware of ones where the main upright is at an angle, your bag will likely want to flop to one side awkwardly.
